Limited Release Designer Series Paper in NEW Colors!
Love clean & simple color block cards? The new colors in the limited release Shades & Hues 6×6 Designer Series Paper (Item 166260) make color blocking easy! Updated colors include: Fresh Freesia, Pool Party, Petal Pink and Misty Moonlight.

Tips for creating clean & simple color block cards using Stampin’ Up! products:
- Choose a Bold Color Palette – Start with 3-5 complementary or contrasting colors. Use Stampin’ Up!’s Color Coach or Designer Series Paper packs for color inspiration. A mix of bold and neutral tones can create a balanced yet eye-catching design.
- Use Basic Shapes for Blocks – Create clean blocks using cardstock squares, rectangles, or strips. Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Trimmer or punches make it easy to achieve precise shapes and consistent sizing.
- Add Texture with Embossing – Incorporate texture into your blocks using Stampin’ Up!’s Embossing Folders. Dry embossing adds depth and interest to your color blocks while keeping the design simple.
- Incorporate Stamps Strategically – Highlight your color blocks by stamping within or over them using bold sentiment stamps or small decorative images. Ensure the ink colors coordinate with your palette for a cohesive look.
- Play with Layers and Dimension – Adhere your blocks with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a layered, 3D effect. Combine flat and raised elements to add visual interest without overcomplicating the design.
- Frame or Anchor the Design – Use a die-cut frame, stitched rectangle dies, or mat layers to pull the color block design together. A subtle border or background layer can make the blocks pop against the card base.
Experiment with these techniques to make your simple color block cards uniquely yours!
