WHAT I LOVE! I adore how this Polaroid frame and color blocking highlight the charming, little house. Remember the “Complete This Color Challenge” you did here? Many of you completed the Peach Pie and Cajun Craze combination with Pretty Peacock . . . so I “rolled” with this combo for the blocks of color. Thanks again for your suggestions and inspiration!

card tutorial : simple humble home card
how to cut your cardstock & dimensions:
- Pretty Peacock Card Stock:
- Card Base – 4 1/2 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 (top)
- Block Layer – 3 1/4 x 2
- Very Vanilla Card Stock:
- Layer – 3 3/4 x 5
- Frame & Sentiment Layer – 3 x 3 3/4
- Stamped & Punched House – 4 x 3 (before punching)
- Cajun Card Stock:
- Block Layer – 3 1/4 x 1 1/4
- Peach Card Stock:
- Block Layer – 3 1/4 x 1 1/4
how to make this simple card:
Burnish the fold of the Pretty Peacock card base with a Bone Folder.
Adhere the Peach Pie, Cajun Craze and Pretty Peacock block layers to the Very Vanilla layer together and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the Stylish Shapes 2 1/2 square to crop the Very Vanilla 3 x 3 3/4 layer. Use Post It Tape to keep the die 1/4″ from the top and sides while zipping it through the machine.
Use a Mini MISTI to position and stamp the sentiment in Pretty Peacock Classic Ink onto the polaroid frame as shown. Watch my 1 Minute to WOW video: The Magic of the Mini MISTI for a quick demonstration here.
Tie a bow of Cajun Craze Natural Tones Linen thread around the left side of the frame as shown.
Adhere the frame to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to stamp the house in Pretty Peacock Classic Ink onto the right side of the 4 x 3 piece of Very Vanilla card stock.
Crop with the coordinating Humble Home Builder Punch.
Adhere within the center of the polaroid frame with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with one Cajun Craze Faux Glass Dot.
