5 tips for getting the most out of Stampin’ Up! Stylish Shapes Dies

  1. Layer for Dimension
Use different-sized dies from the Stylish Shapes set to create layered focal points on your cards. Start with the largest die as a base layer, then stack smaller shapes on top. Mix and match circles, squares, and banners to add visual interest and depth to your designs.
  2. Create Perfect Sentiment Panels
The banner and circle dies are ideal for framing sentiments. Die-cut a shape and stamp your message in the center for a polished look. This works well for card fronts and tags, making sentiments easy to align and adding a decorative border.
  3. Use Negative Space for Backgrounds
Die-cut shapes out of cardstock and use the leftover “negative” pieces as stencil-like elements. Layer these over patterned paper or contrasting colors to add texture to your backgrounds without extra bulk.
  4. Build Repeating Patterns
Create a cohesive design by die-cutting multiple shapes in the same size and arranging them in a pattern. This is especially effective with circles or squares and works well for both backgrounds and focal points.
  5. Highlight Small Embellishments
The smaller dies, like tiny circles or banners, are perfect for showcasing embellishments, like mini flowers, stamped images, or gems. This makes it easy to create clusters of decor that draw the eye and add sparkle to your project.

These tips can add versatility and polish to your projects when showcasing the Stampin’ Up! Stylish Shapes Dies!
