card tutorial: easy handmade thank you card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Gorgeous Grape Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
snipped envelope flap:
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP): 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top, before cropping):
- Basic White Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4 x 5
- Basic White Cardstock: 3 7/8 x 4 3/8
- Pretty Peacock Cardstock: 2 5/8 x 4 1/8
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper: 2 1/2 x 4
- Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper: 3 x 2 3/4
- Basic White Cardstock (sentiment): 3 x 1 3/4
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Pattern of Friendship stamp set) in Gorgeous Grape Classic Ink onto the Basic White card stock.
3. crop and punch:
- Zip the 3 3/4 x 5 and 3 x 2 3/4 pieces of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, secured in place with Post-It Note Tape to the Pattern of Friendship die, through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard).
- Crop the sentiment with the Labeled with Love Punch.
- Crop the Designer Series Paper with the To The Point Label Punch.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Layer and adhere the Designer Series Paper to coordinating cardstock layers with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Wrap the bottom layer with white Baker’s Twine, securing with a bow.
- Adhere all remaining layers as shown with Standard and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Add 5 Gorgeous Grape Purple Fine Shimmer Gems as shown.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Tip: Add glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
