card tutorial: quick butterflies card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic Black Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
layers (from bottom to top):
- Melon Mambo Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4
- Crumb Cake Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 5
- Basic Black Cardstock: 3 x 4 1/2
- Melon Mambo Cardstock: 2 3/4 x 4 1/4
- Crumb Cake Cardstock (die-cut/sentiment): 4 1/4 x 5 (before die-cutting)
- Basic Black Cardstock (die-cuts): 4 1/2 x 3 3/4
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink (twice) onto the Crumb Cake Cardstock. Cover with black Basics WOW! Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.
3. crop & emboss:
- Crop the sentiment and butterflies with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the coordinating Beautiful Butterflies dies.
- Zip the Melon Mambo cardstock through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) tucked inside the Beautiful Butterflies hybrid embossing folder.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Melon Mambo & Crumb Cake layers together and to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the embossed Melon Mambo layer to the Basic Black layer together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the Crumb Cake die-cuts to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere the Basic Black die-cuts as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
5. embellish:
- Adhere Itty Bitty Bokeh mix with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
