card tutorial: simple diy butterfly card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
layers from bottom to top:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock: 4 x 5 1/4
- Pretty Peacock Die-Cuts: 4 1/4 x 3 1/2 and 1 3/4 x 1 1/4 (before die-cutting)
- Very Vanilla Die-Cuts: 4 x 3 1/4 (before die-cutting)
- Very Vanilla Sentiment: 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 (before die-cutting)
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Beautiful Butterflies Stamp Set) in Pretty Peacock Classic Ink onto the Very Vanilla layer.
3. crop:
- Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) to crop the following:
- the largest Beautiful Butterflies Die to crop the negative space in the Very Vanilla layer.
- the Beautiful Butterflies Dies along with the Hybrid Embossing Folder to crop & emboss the large Pretty Peacock butterfly.
- the Beautiful Butterflies Dies to crop the detailed Very Vanilla and Pretty Peacock (small) butterflies.
- the circle from the Spring Corners Dies to crop the sentiment.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Very Vanilla layer to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Adhere all other pieces as shown with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish the butterflies with Antique Pearls.
