card tutorial: simple & fun Screen card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 (top)
snipped envelope flap:
- Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top):
- Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper: 4 x 5 1/4
- Basic White Cardstock: 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
- Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper: 3 x 4 1/2, then cut into 1 x 4 1/2 strips
- Basic White Sentiment: 3 x 1 1/4 (before die-cutting)
- Stamped Toadstool – 4 x 1 1/2 (before punching)
- Stamped Stem – 4 x 1 (before punching)
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Terrific Toadstools stamp set) in Granny Apple Green Classic Ink onto Basic White card stock.
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the toadstool and stem (Terrific Toadstools stamp set) in Melon Mambo and Smoky Slate Classic Ink onto Basic White card stock.
3. crop:
- Crop the sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the coordinating die from Unbounded Love.
- Crop the toadstool and stem with the coordinating Terrific Toadstools Builder Punch. Note: It punches inside the stamped images and there will not be a white border.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
- Adhere the largest Designer Series Paper layer to the card base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the strips to the basic white layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Double wrap with white Baker’s Twine and secure with bow.
- Adhere all remaining layers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish as shown with Pumpkin Pie Sunny Day Iridescent Dots.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Flip to the inside of the flap and carefully snip away the excess with Paper Snips.
