Make an Easy Screen Card with Sunny Days DSP Strips

Create a screen card with Sunny Days Designer Series Paper by Stampin' Up! Card by Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

When someone asks for ways to use up designer series paper (DSP), I answer with “use it like crazy!” Today’s card is a perfect example of how to cut DSP into 1 x 3 strips for a classy screen card “thank you” as well as dress up an envelope flap for a coordinated and impressive delivery!

WHAT I LOVE!  The Stampin’ Up! Sunny Days Designer Series Paper offers fresh, modern and irresistible patterns for spring. It’s at the very tippy top of My Favorite Things.

PROJECT TUTORIAL:

Begin by burnishing the fold of the Basic White Thick card base with a Bone Folder.

Starting with the outside strips first, adhere the four Designer Series Paper strips to the Basic Black layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Wrap with Stampin’ Up! Black & White 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon, securing with a bow.

Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use a Clear Block C to stamp the sentiment (Perennial Postage Stamp Set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Basic White piece.

Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) to crop the sentiment with the 2 1/4 x 1 1/2 Perennial Postage die. TIP: Secure the die in place with Post-It Tape to prevent shifting when zipping through the machine.

Adhere to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish the sentiment with three small black Classic Matte Dots.

PERFECT POLISH! Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. IMPORTANT: It’s best to add glue to the flap, not the DSP.
