card tutorial: black & white thank you card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
snipped envelope flap:
- Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top):
- Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper: 4 1/4 x 3 1/2
- Basic White Layer: 3 x 5
- Basic Black Layer: 2 3/4 x 4 3/4
- Basic Black embossed image: 2 3/4 x 4 3/4 (before cropping)
- Basic White sentiment: 2 x 3/4 (before cropping)
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the floral image (Mixed Florals Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink (twice) onto the Basic Black cardstock that has been rubbed with an Embossing Buddy (Embossing Additions Tool Kit).
- Cover with white Basics WOW! Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess and set with a Heat Tool.
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Mixed Labels Stamp Set) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto the Basic White layer.
3. crop:
- Crop the floral image and sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the coordinating Mixed Florals and Mixed Labels dies.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Designer Series Paper to the card base and the Basic Black and Basic White layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Wrap the layers with white Baker’s Twine Essentials, securing with a bow as shown.
- Adhere all remaining pieces with Standard and/or Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish with three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. TIP: Add the glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
