Are you ready to see what’s on my desk? I don’t have a lot of desk space so I like the bare minimum of supplies to maximize my crafting “surface” area. Today we’ll take a closer look at what works for me and keeps my crafting (and work) space neat and tidy!

This is where I spend most of my paper crafting time in addition to checking emails, taking photos, making videos and working very hard on my Stampin’ Up! business. I opted for a comfy and adjustable Laura Davidson drafting chair and a BDI motorized drafting desk (it goes up and down with a touch of a button)that allows me to adjust to the perfect height when I stand (craft) or sit (work).

Efficiency is king! Below is a list of everything I keep in my desk caddy so it’s always at my fingertips. I also have my Post It Note Tape, the tweezers from the Embossing Additions Tool Kit, retired Stampin’ Up! Rubber Stamp Scissors, Ribbon Scissors, and two Paper Piercing Tools. This is the small, painted white.
I love the retro style of this chrome Anglepoise task lamp. The arm allows me to move it easily to wherever I need the most light. Very sturdy. If you want a less expensive option in a similar style, I found this one on Amazon (but haven’t personally tried it).
My passion for collecting midcentury art all started with 50’s and 60’s paintings passed down from my grandfather and mother. As a baby boomer, it feels so nostalgic to me! Many of the pieces in my house are from eBay and part of the thrill is negotiating a good price on something unique and personal (like the kitty and woman above). My wool rug is vintage (1960’s) as well and another eBay find.
This Arkon stand (save 10% with code: PRETTY) has a clamp at the top that holds my iPhone when I do my 1 Minute to WOW! videos. I keep it close so that when I think of a tip, I can “roll” pretty quickly. I recently purchased the iPad on Amazon and there’s an additional iPad mount on the Arkon stand that keeps it off my desk and at eye level. It’s not the latest iPad version but does everything I need at a fantastic price ($249)! I use it to binge a little Netflix while I craft, as a second monitor for email and my calendar, read books (Kindle), do virtual team meetings for my Stampin’ Pretty Pals and much more. I can’t believe I waited so long to purchase an iPad. It’s now my best buddy and travels with me from room to room when I’m not at my desk!
I shared this must-have pop up bin before. However, you can now see where it’s placed in relation to my desk. Quick clean up is a snap and it’s hands-free. A sensor pops the lid when you hover! The little bamboo box (desk) is simply where I put tiny scraps until I move them to the larger pop up bin. You can find an adorable tiny desktop trash bin on Amazon here.
This big 24 x 36 self-healing cutting mat protects my desk 24/7, helps me measure and line up layers and cleans up easily.
Tucked inside my small desk drawer is the Mini MISTI above. It has become my “go to” stamp positioning tool and ensures crisp ink coverage. I adore the mini size (Dimension: 6 x 7; Stamp area: 6 x 4.75). Also in my drawer is my Victor easy read ruler, which I use daily to be sure I’m sharing the correct dimensions with you in my project tutorials. I used to have two but my husband swooped the other.
