It’s a new year and time to get your craft space, large or small, neat and tidy! My Stampin’ Pretty Stamping Studio is an organized and colorful “happy” space. I can find what I need at a glance and clean up is a snap. While organizational products and methods can evolve, I wanted to dedicate multiple posts over the upcoming weeks to finding a good flow and defining your craft space. I’ll detail what has worked in My Stamping Studio for over a decade as well as some recent tweaks to satisfy my continued love affair with “creative order.”
how i organize my stamping studio
Catch my entire Stampin’ Pretty blog series showcasing how I organize craft supplies in my studio – including my favorite Stamp-n-Storage products! Binge the whole series, or pick out a post below and learn how to make your craft space better than ever!
STAMP-n-STORAGE MAGNET CARDS & STORAGE POCKETS. My dies stay securely in place on 6 x 7 Magnet Cards and are slipped into a coordinating 6 x 7 Storage Pocket.
BE SURE TO LABEL THE POCKET SLEEVE INDEX TAB. I create an adhesive label with the Brother P-Touch Cube for the tab on the storage pocket. It includes the name of the die collection and number of dies, which can be important to have if a die “goes missing.” This labeling system makes it easy to see the possibilities!
STAMP-n-STORAGE CREATIVE CRATE. The sleeves pop into a perfectly sized and very sturdy wooden bin (Creative Crate). I just flip through to quickly find and pull what I’m after.
STAMP-n-STORAGE CRATE DIVIDERS. Stamp-n-Storage offers large, crate dividers (teal only) that fit in the Create Crate and I use to separate my dies from embossing folders. I’m only using two (“dies” and “embossing folders”) but could use more to organize the dies by things like borders, words and shapes.

I love ALL of your organizational ideas and tips!
I’ve finally bit the bullet and purchased some. I’m impressed with the quality. However, I probably wouldn’t have purchased any had I NOT seen/read your tips and ideas!!
I have 2 questions….
1) what size crate/bin do you use for your dies and embossing folders?
2) Your cabinet – cutting station. Did you purchase that at a particular store, if so, what brand/name is it?
Hi Eva,
Thank you for your feedback!
I just switched and currently use the 3M bins from amazon on the wall for dies as well as plates. If you don’t have the wall space, try the Stamp-n-Storage medium crates.
The cabinets (both my main storage area and the cutting “station”) were previously in our basement (from the last owner). We simply moved and repurposed them in my studio. Ikea has cubby options that work with the Ikea storage from Stamp-n-Storage.
Mary,
Love your organization/storage idea. I do something similar with my dies with a magnetic sheet but I also include a picture of the dies so if one is missing I know what it looks like.
That is a great idea! Thank you for sharing! Mary
I love all of the products I have purchased from Stamp-N-Storage! Using magnetic sheets for dies is a must-have. Enjoy your day, Mary.
