Simple “Just Because” Mother’s Day Card

Love simplicity?  This Mother’s Day card was quick and easy using the Just Because stamp set, a few pops of color from my Stampin’ Blends and the Florentine Die for the “trellis” style background.

Today’s Mother’s Day card showcases the Just Because Stampin’ Rewards Exclusive Stamp Set that I am offering as blog candy!  You can play along by viewing and commenting via yesterday’s post here.  Deadline to comment is Friday, April 19th, 2019 at NOON Mountain Time.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Crumb Cake card stock.

Crop a piece of Whisper White card stock with a die-cutting machine, platform, and the Florentine Die. Trim to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8. Adhere with bits of Snail Adhesive or Mini Glue Dots.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the image (Just Because) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock. Watch my 4 Best Tips Cling Stamp video here for tips on using the new and improved stickers.

Crop using a die-cutting machine, platform, and Rectangle Stitched die. Wrap with Linen Thread, securing with a bow over the right side of the flower pot.

Color with Light Poppy Parade and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Add three Basic Black Faceted Dots to the base of each flower. TIP: I like using my Take a Pick Tool to accomplish this.

  1. Mary, this card is sooooo you! Beautifully simplistic with lots of eye appeal! I love the idea of a focal panel that would be perfect for a smaller notecard and then mounted against lovely texture. Just had to let you know how much I like this card!!!
