Remember my video demonstration with tips for using Stampin’ Blends Markers? Today’s card makes use of the pretty flower I colored for you in the video using the Beautiful Day stamp set.
Here’s the video:
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
I used Tuxedo Black Memento Ink to stamp the flower (Beautiful Day stamp set) and the word “amazing.” The word “amazing” is from Amazing You stamp set and you can earn it FREE with an order of $50 or more (total before shipping and tax) during the Sale-A-Bration promotion. Learn more about Sale-A-Bration and see more free gift options here.
Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends produce stunning color. I feel so “color empowered” when using them!
Vellum softens the background design so that the pattern doesn’t overwhelm the flower (focal point).
A cluster of pearls (Pearl Basic Jewels) add interest to the center of the flower. A single Rich Razzleberry dot (Bright Enamel Shapes) punctuates “amazing!”
I used the butterfly image from Beautiful Day stamp set to create the card above. Original details here.

Mary,
I love the way you use vellum on your cards but can you touch a bit on how you attach it without the adhesive showing through? Any tips or tricks would be appreciated
Thanks, Veronica, I add adhesive to the vellum strategically – in areas that will be covered by other elements (for example, the flower).
Lovely, just lovely. I have a friend that I have stamped with for “some years” and we agree that you are a great inspiration to us. I do not leave a comment every day, but I am here every day. Thanks for the beautiful ideas everyday.
This warms my heart, Sandra. Thank you for your comment and kind words. Say “hello” to your friend! Hugs, M
Very pretty, I am always looking for new ideas using the razzleberry CS.
Do I understand correctly you stamped on white CS and then colored with the rich razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers?
I like the black edges and the rich razzleberry is a favorite card stock of mine.
That is exactly right, Lora. Thanks for leaving a comment and your sweet feedback!
I love this card and you are right about the vellum being the perfect touch to bring it down a notch. Great coloring and all the different elements make it so pretty. Enjoy your day, Mary.
Thanks, HJ. Your daily comments mean so much and inspire me!
On the floor! This is absolutely gorgeous, Mary! I love everything about your sweet card! The layers are gorgeous. <3
I’ll take “gorgeous!” Thanks so much, Brian. It was nice to find a purpose for the colored flower. The card is going to a friend that is donating a kidney!
This card is beautiful! Your Stampin’ Blends coloring skills are AMAZING……and I have to say that the Vellum Cardstock just adds the PERFECT touch for this card.
Thanks, Kadie. I thought it looked too busy with the flower design layered directly over the print . . . the vellum takes that down a notch and softens the look!
