A Simple Rainbow Card to Brighten Someone’s Day

Learn how to create a simple card using Sunshine & Rainbows Builder Framelits - Mary Fish StampinUp Ideas

Yesterday, I shared a Stampin’ Up! video and samples here for the Sunshine & Rainbows Photopolymer Bundle.  I used the bundle for today’s simple rainbow card.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

Colors of the rainbow.  I cropped the following colors (top to bottom) with the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies.  Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry.

The sun and clouds were also cropped with the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies.  Stampin’ Dimensionals give them 3-D WOW!

Use washi tape to keep layers of the rainbow together - StampinUp Mary FishUse washi tape on the back of the rainbow to help you build and keep the colors of the rainbow in place.  Thanks, Sam Hammond Donald (Pootles), for being my resource for this awesome tip.

  1. I love everything about this card, Mary – from the colors you chose to the assembly tips you shared. So bright and cheery! <3

  2. Super cute! But there is a dark blue color missing from your description. Only 6 colors are listed but there are 7 in your rainbow. I’m guessing maybe Pacific Point?

    • Oh my gosh! Pacific Point is missing. Thanks for the catch, Rachel. I’ll update the text!

  3. Love this card, Mary. It will definitely brighten the recipient’s day! Thanks for the washi tip. Have a good one.

  4. What a DARLING little card Mary. Your tip on using the Washi Tape when building the rainbow is an AMAZING tip! Thanks for sharing.

    • Thanks, Kadie. I started with just the center piece of washi and added the side pieces after all the bands were in place. Extra security!

  5. Beautiful card, Mary! Anyone would love to receive that card from a friend or relative.
