The Stampin’ Up! Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder made quite an “impression” with almost 36% of the vote in my latest Stampin’ Pretty Reader’s Choice Poll! With that direction from you, I used Brick Wall embossing folder on today’s simple hello card!
This poll is closed and you can no longer vote.
I LOVE HEARING FROM YOU! Please leave me a comment HERE if you have questions or comments on today’s Brick Wall hello card.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I cut the brick wall panel on a diagonal and split it to frame the “hello” sentiment. Each section of “brick” is popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals for a 3-D look.
- Get it before it’s gone! The “hello” die cut is from Greetings Thinlits Dies and is on the list of Stampin’ Up! retiring tools & accessories here. I like to use the Big Shot Die Brush to easily remove delicate die cuts like this one. Watch my video for a quick demonstration.
- Also retiring is the Everyday Chic Designer Series Paper, a classic black and white collection that you can customize with color using markers, a brayer (retiring), blender pen and more.
- Bye, Bye Designer Buttons. The Melon Mambo button (Brights Designer Buttons) makes a bold statement as the butterfly center. The Brights, Subtles, Regals and Neutrals Designer Buttons are ALL retiring. Learn more about which tools and accessories are retiring and save up to 50% here.
- Last but not least on the retiring tools & accessories list are my beloved Envelope Liners Framelits Dies. Envelope liners are one of my favorite ways to use designer series paper for a polished presentation. The Envelope Liners Framelits Dies are only available while supplies last!

This idea of polling, Mary, is a LOT of fun!!! 🙂
I’m now retired and bringing out my stamps. Is adding same color ink only way to rejuvenate dry stamp pads. Also my markers are almost dry.
Hi Leah: Ink refills are designed for this purpose. I don’t know how long it’s been since you used them. If it has been years, I suggest you purchase new ink pads vs. trying to revive your old pads. I’m not aware of an easy way to reink markers (especially if they are our Stampin’ Write Markers). You may find something on YouTube if you do a search. Glad to have you back stamping and happy retirement! M
These wonderful comments keep me inspired. Thank you!
Your card is so attractive. Butterflies and buttons are such a great pairing to say hello. The brick embossed wall is the perfect background and can certainly see why it took first place. Great job and thank you for sharing.
The Melon Mambo button on the butterfly just MAKES this card!!!!! Love what you created my friend.
Thanks for the sweet comments. Makes my day!
Brilliant use of the embossing folder! Love the card!
Great card, Mary. I love the color combo, the layout, especially the striped butterfly and the pink button for a pop of bright color. Have a great day.
