Gift cards are a welcome treat for almost every occasion. Plus, they keep those friends and family that are a challenge to buy for fabulously content. However, is there a cool and crafty way to wrap them up? The Stampin' Up! Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die (used with a Big Shot Die-Cut Machine) is an amazing solution! A standard gift card fits neatly inside!
Today's video shows you how quickly you can give your gift cards a new paper-licious personality using the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die. Watch the video and see what's tucked inside!
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIP: When using a die that both cuts and scores (like the Petite Pocket Die), be sure to use the Extended Premium Crease Pad in place of the top cutting pad in your "sandwich." This ensures clean cuts and defined (but not cut) score lines.

Mary,
After watching this tutorial, I went online and bought this die right away. That NEVER happens! I always scrutinize the items before I purchase. I give a lot of gift cards though, and I know that it will be put to good use! Thanks for your videos, they are great!
Mary – Your video’s are always so easy to follow!! Thanks for all the info on why you do things the way you do- that’t the part I learn the most from. Hope Founder’s Circle was fantastic!!
What a great card – tfs and love your tutorials!
Yes Mary, did you glue the circle on or what? I am with Stella, how did you do that! Thanks for the tips on the shims and cutting pads etc. Great project and you could even use it as an envelope for a little card too that is not a gift card – providing it would fit! Or, a flat snowflake ornament etc!
Adorable project Mary!
Thanks, Mary! I hadn’t even noticed that die. I had broke one down that I received to get the measurements to make these. Here I was happy when SU! came out with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool because I just had the score line on my paper cutter to use. With the holidays coming, you have just saved me a great deal of time!
I knew it was only a matter of time before someone showed me how much I NEED this die. I had no idea it was so perfect for gift cards. And with that season just around the corner…..thanks, Mary!!
Hi Stella . . . actually, my brad does show through on the inside flap . . . if you don’t want it to show, you could cover the “legs” with another red circle 🙂 Hugs, M
Such a beautful presentation Mary! Love your DSP and your tips on which cutting pads to use is SO HELPFUL. Thanks for yet another amazing video tutorial-this die was one of the first BIGZ dies I bought when the new catalog was realeased……You’ve inspired me to now “USE IT”. See you soon girlfriend.
I love what you did with the stamp set, get colors and ideas:)
Okay, that’s it, I’m sold! It is now on my next order.
Your One Minute to Wow Videos are so informative. TFS
Simply beautiful! Would you please share with us how you have the circle and brad attached on the back for the twine to twist around without the brad showing through on the back of the flap?
Thanks!
Ooooh La La!
this is beautiful, Mary! Love how you created the panel on the front. I have this die and haven’t used it yet but will be using it for Christmas gift cards, thanks to you!
Tres Chic!
