Pals Blog Hop – It’s a Pattern Party

Welcome to the Pals July, 2018 Blog Hop. We’re having a “Pattern Party.”  This month our creations will feature our favorite Designer Series Papers and coordinating embellishments from the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalog.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog.  Either way, you’ve come to the right place.  You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Create a simple nugget treat holder using Treat Time stamp set & Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies - Mary Fish StampinUp

Wouldn’t this little Hershey’s nugget foursome be a wonderful way to sweeten a friend’s day?  I think the sentiment (Treat Time Stamp Set) says it all!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Cut four 1 x 3 patterns using Garden Impressions 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.  Wrap around Hershey’s nuggets and adhere to the bottom using Glue Dots.  There are so many pretty patterns and combinations with this paper.  Buy 3 Get 1 FREE.  Ends July 31.

Garden Impressions 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper

Put nuggets in a Stampin’ Up! 2 x 8 Cello Bag.  I cropped about 3″ off the top, folding over the rest below the topper.

To create the topper, I used one of the Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies to crop the Calypso Coral pattern from Garden Impressions 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper with the Big Shot.  The Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies (love the little stitched details) are part of the Stampin’ Up! Color Your Season promotion, a limited-time offering Aug. 1 – 31 or while supplies last.  Promotion details here.

Score the center of the topper using a Stampin’ Trimmer and fold over the cello bag.  I added a staple to the front of the topper and cello bag.  I used Glue Dots to secure the back.

Wrap Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine around the topper and tie in a bow.

Stamp sentiment (Treat Time Stamp Set) in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White card stock.  Crop using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Layering Circles Framelits Dies (1 7/8 circle) and the Big Shot Magnetic Platform (to keep the die in place over the sentiment).

Adhere sentiment as shown using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add a gold Metallic Pearl for a charming accent on the flower center.

Now it’s time to use the Blog Hop Line-up below to see what the rest of my Pals have chosen as their “favorite.”  Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on these projects.

Mark your calendars for August 8, 2018 when we Cut it Out!  Participants will showcase projects featuring “cuts” from punches, Framelits, Edgelits, or Thinlits.  Don’t miss the fun.

Found! The Perfect Spot for My Beautiful Promenade Tag

Create a simple gift pillow box using Beautiful Promenade - Mary Fish StampinUp Idea

When I created the video below (shared last Saturday with a card here), I included a tag that I was determined to find a project for.  A polka dot Kraft Pillow Box (new) was a quick and easy home for the tag (and just in time for a last minute Father’s Day gift).  The pillow boxes go together literally in seconds and hold a treat, small gift or gift card!

MY STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

The Stampin’ Up! Kraft Pillow Boxes are pre-cute and pre-scored.  Simply press the ends in.

Crop each end of a  2 3/4 x 1 7/8 piece of Fresh Fig card stock with the tag die from Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies.  Adhere a 1 7/8 square piece of Crumb Cake card stock (cut with Layering Squares Framelits Dies and the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine) with Snail Adhesive on the Fresh Fig tag.

Ink the floral image from Beautiful Promenade Photopolymer Stamp Set in Crumb Cake and stamp off (once) on scrap paper and a second time (without re-inking) on Whisper White card stock.  Layer “I Love You” in Fresh Fig ink.  I used the Stampin’ Up! Stamparatus stamp positioning tool for stamping all these images with confidence.  Learn more about the Stamparatus with my video demonstration here.

Crop the sentiment created above with the Big Shot, Magnetic Platform and a 1 7/8 square die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Adhere to the Crumb Cake square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add two Faceted Dots  (Blackberry Bliss) to the flower centers.

Thread 20″ of Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon through die cut tag ends.  Adhere tag to pillow box using Stampin’ Dimensionals and tie ribbon in a bow on the right.

Daisy Mini Pizza Box for 3 x 3 Cards

Create a simple pizza box and 3 x 3 cards using Stampin Up Itty Bitty Greetings - StampinUp Mary Fish

One more really fabulous thing about 3 x 3 cards is that they fit neatly along with the 3 x 3 envelopes in Stampin’ Up! Mini Pizza Boxes.  What a lovely little gift to give a friend or host!  In addition to the Grapefruit Grove version of this 3 x 3 card I shared in yesterday’s post, I finished up my collection with the balance of cards the new 2018-2020 In Colors.

Original details for the 3 x 3 card are here.   I again used Stampin’ Up! 2018-2020 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper, In Color 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon and the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set.

TIP:  The Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set “multi-tasks” for so many occasions.  I love how beautifully many of the sentiments coordinate with the Stampin’ Up! Classic Label Punch.  Create a template as shown and layer over the case cover (images are 100%) to see what fits!

Here’s a video I shared previously on how to use the Classic Label Punch to create a flagged end (approx. the 2:27 mark).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL:

Adhere to a Mini Pizza Box with Snail Adhesive a 3 1/8 square polka dot pattern (Blueberry Bushel) from 2018-2020 In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper.

Create a 9 3/4 x 1 1/8 belly band using the Stampin’ Trimmer.  Score at 1 1/4, 2 1/4, 5 7/8 and 6 7/8. Adhere ends below where the daisy will be placed.
