tutorial: easy diy gift card holder
1. measure & cut
gift card holder base:
- Basic White Thick Cardstock: 3 x 9 3/4, scored at 2 1/4 and 6 1/2
layers:
- Season of Green & Gold Specialty DSP: 2 3/4 x 9 1/2
- Gold Mercury Vellum Specialty DSP die-cut: 3 x 2 1/4
- Basic White Sentiment die-cut: 2 3/4 x 1 1/2
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Greetings of the Season Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink (twice) onto the Basic White layer.
- Cover the sentiment with gold Metallics WOW! Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess. Use the putty end of a Take Your Pick Tool to remove any stray pieces of embossing powder. Set with a Heat Tool.
3. crop:
- Crop the Gold Mercury Vellum and sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the coordinating Greetings of the Season dies.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Add Tear & Tape to the outside edges of the longer, bottom flap. Remove the protective backing, fold and adhere, creating the pocket for the gift card.
- Wrap and adhere the Designer Series Paper to the Basic White base with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere Garden Green Natural Tones Linen Thread to the back side of the sentiment die-cut with Mini Glue Dots.
- Adhere the two die-cuts together and to the top section of the gift card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Add the gift card or cash to the pocket.
- Close the top flap and wrap with the thread, securing with a bow on the left.
- Embellish with Iridescent Foil Gems.
