Are you ready to play this week's Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge (PPA83)? Combine Baja Breeze, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake for a classy finish. Be sure to check out the PPA Design Team's samples HERE with the added bonus of seeing what Celebrity Guest Stamper Nance Leedy drummed up for the challenge, too.
Is there such a thing as clean and simple vintage? I have truly gotten excellent mileage from the Nature Walk stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. Sponging the edges of all the layers in Crumb Cake ink and a shot of Vintage Wallpaper texture are quick ways to pull together the "clean and simple" vintage look.
STAMPIN' PRETTY TIPS:
-
The 1", 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches allowed me to dress up the "true friend" sentiment in a flash (Sale-A-Bration "Punch Bunch").
- Vanilla Rosettes can be customized to match Stampin' Up! colors using a Stampin' Write Marker. Watch my 1 Minute to WOW! Video Tutorial to learn how.
- Naturals Ivory Card Stock is so rich . . . I used it recently on this card after ignoring it for ages. I'm hooked all over again!

Mary I just CASEd this card and put it up on my blog at www.southerncaliforniastamper.blogspot.com. In included a link to your fabulous blog. Thanks for blessing my day and inspiring my art.
Hi Nancy
I don’t know for sure, however, botanical prints often were numbered – possibly the purpose of the “No. 147”.
Hugs, M
I think you INVENTED CAS vintage, Mary! I love that cut out for the circle!
If anyone can make CAS vintage-it’s you! This card is lovely and a perfect use of these colors. I love the punched circle for the “true friend” sentiment–wonderful! Thanks for inviting me to play along this week–it’s truly an honor. 🙂
Love the textured Soft Suede in the background! Perfect!
Mike
Gosh you come up with the best ideas!! Love the punched out circle!!
this is really pretty mary-love this set and all the different looks you get from it
I am wondering about the no. 147 stamp. Does it refer to numbered items in a collection? Of butterflies, perhaps?
CAS perfect! A great card.
Love this look – and I love how the circle is inset – the perfect Mary Fish detail!
Mary this card is beautiful, love the way you embossed the soft suede strip under the focal point & “lifted” the identifying # of the graphic, just like a real botanical print, very classy!
Mary, this is beautiful! You’ve combined CAS and vintage together very seamlessly.
I love the vintage style of this card. This stamp set is a perfect choice for these colors!
Two really cool things on your card Mary. The Rosette flower matching the Baja Breeze card stock which led me to your video…helped me out alot! And the cut out behind the True Friend Sentiment, just a small touch making a big impact…..love it!
Elegant card! Love the look of the notched out circle … another great Mary detail!
Thanks for the kind words, Kathleen. My “FURiend” will be introduced tomorrow. Stay tuned! Hugs, M
Very pretty – I love the bird stamp from the Nature Walk set.
Love this card! The color combo is fantastic and I love the sponging. Nature Walk is one of my favorite stamps sets! Beautiful!!
