My card today is destined for Shelli Gardner, CEO and Co-Founder of Stampin’ Up! She is recovering from numerous broken bones sustained in a horseback riding accident. I hope this simple card adds a little paper crafting love to ease her pain as she mends.
Tip #10 of My Top 10 Ways to Get Your Stampin’ Mojo Going is: EDIT! This card is a perfect example of how a relatively clean “canvas” can still have a WOW! factor. If you are building a card that is becoming “confused,” pull a few things off, reposition and see if that makes a difference! Otherwise, take a walk for a mental break (as I suggested yesterday) in Tip #9.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIP:
The Stampin’ Up! Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set are designed to
work together (love the results). However, there’s a little trick. Be
sure to stamp the images in the same position shown on the cover. That
way they will line up for cropping with the Pansy Punch.
Buy the Pansy Punch and
Flower Shop stamp set as a bundle and save 15%. See ALL Stampin’ Up! Savings Bundles!
I also relied on Tip #4, a “CASE” Study. Since I wanted to quickly put a card together for Shelli, I found the card below by Laurie Chilton (a member of my Stampin’ Pretty Pals Community) in my “cool cards” folder! Thanks, Laurie for the inspiration.

I love this stamp. Is it still for sale with Stampin’ Up? I asked my demonstrator and she said she couldn’t find it. It’s not in the lastest catalogs.
Its no longer sold by Stampin Up. You might find the set for sale on Bay.
Beautiful card. I was always putting too much in my card and this is more me now. Thank you for giving me the idea of something simply effective.
What a perfect card Mary- Simple and truly elegant! Shelli will love it!
I love simple elegance. The beautiful rich color against Whisper White and the little elegant touch of pearls is just right!
Thanks a bunch, Mary, for the address. 🙂
Wonderful Card Mary… and for a Wonderful Lady…
Thanks for Sharing…

My card making and reading your and other blogs are what has kept me sane the last few weeks. We will be moving soon and there has been much uncertainty (Will our buyers get a contract on their house, where will we live until we build a new house, how can we possibly move all this stuff, and how can I find time to stamp while packing)in the last few weeks. I love relaxing for a while and looking at your creations. Believe me my stamps will be the last thing to be packed up completely. I have packed some, but not until the day we are out the door will the rest go into their box.
Thanks for the therapy!LOL
Such a beautiful card. Made my long dormant card making heart beat with excitement. You’ve been on fire with this Top 10 Mojo list, got me checking out that Join the Pals page!
Both cards are simply gorgeous and filled with love. TFS I will be mailing my card today also. So sorry to hear of Shelli’s accident. Love and prayers to Shelli and her family.
Mary. I was wondering the same thing, about an address for Shelly. If it weren’t for her and her sister starting Stampn UP 25 yrs. ago, I wouldn’t have had the fun I’ve enjoyed since 1994 of making my own cards and the enjoyment I’ve brought to family / friends with my homemade cards or gifts to them with a pkg. of assorted cards like I’ve done.
Would love to send her a card. Hope that her injuries aren’t to serious or life threatening. Have a blessed holiday week-end.
I love Plain and Simple cards…you nailed this, Mary…know Shelli will love it….thank you for sharing your tip and inspiration!

Beautiful, crisp and elegant card. Yes, how can we send Shelli a card. Posted on her board, but like they say, a card in the hand out weights technology. Thanks a bunch! 🙂
Mary, how can we send Shelli a card? Sorry to hear she had an accident. Cindy
