The outpouring of kind words and sympathies over the passing away of my big orange cat, Mozart, has been so touching. I received heart-warming hand made cards (which I plan to share) and had so many beautiful comments on my tribute post. I can't tell you how much it meant to me in the healing process. I still miss him but the memories are now recalled with smiles rather than tears.
I wanted to highlight a couple cards today, above and below, both created by my dear friend Kadie Labadie (check out her blog–lots of gorgeous work). Jawdroppingly cute, yes?
So I shared some good news with Kadie recently that's reflected in the second card. My family can be very convincing and the animal shelters are full of adult cats . . . I'll have someone new to introduce to you in the next few days. Here's a sneak peek.
You are so sneaky!!! I would give my right arm to see this new kitty of yours!!! I just don’t have the patience to wait. email me… *smile* Kadie’s card are so adorable. I can’t wait to go see more. Hugs,
Oh Mary….what horrible news to learn of your recent loss. They are just like one of your kids! I am sure these adorable cards were comforting. You may have lost one life, but always remember you saved another!!!
God Bless!
Adorable kitty cards……..and one of the best sneak peeks ever!
So glad you’ve rescued another cat. We did, too (our Sweet Pea died at 20 in August). We’ve had Lucy for two weeks. I had wanted an adult cat, too, but was unsure how she or our dog, Chrissy, would react to each other as adults, so we have an 8 month-old – and they get along just fine. Thanks for sharing – can’t wait to meet your new addition.
As we say on Face Book “Like!”
Its so awesome of you to open your heart and your home to a cat who we all know will give you so much love in return! I can hardly wait till you reveal him/or her. It looks so absolutely adorable peaking its paw under the covers like that. congratulations on the new member of your family!!!
Oh My Word Mary…..Thank you SO MUCH for sharing my cards and blog link with your fabulous bloggin friends (I’ve heard from MANY of them). I for one can not wait for the BIG REVEAL……her little paw is ADORABLE. Please don’t keep us waiting too long. Thanks again for sharing my cards – I totally enjoyed making them for you and your family.
can’t wait to see your new kittie!
Oh and adorable cards too!!
First, the cards were adorable. Kadie is very talented. But most importantly, what an adorable kitty paw! I can’t wait to see more!
Can’t wait to see sll of your new addition!
Oh my, that little paw is so darn cute it made my heart go pitter pat. I can’t wait for you to share the rest. I think it’s wonderful that you are adopting from a shelter. And the cards made by your friend are fabulous!
aaahhh, can’t wait to meet the new feline; sounds like this cat’s going into a good adoption home; thank you for sharing others condolances thru cards….it’s friends that stick by you in desolate times, even if they aren’t animal lovers.
I can’t wait to see your new little friend. The paw looks just like my little gal’s. Looks the same color.
Darling cards 🙂 My daughter LOVES cats and I shudder to think of the day we will no longer have ours. However, we did get him as an adult cat and would do the same all over again as you are. LOVE grey kitties and can’t wait to see all of him/her 🙂
The sneak peek is precious! Sneaky paw! Can’t wait for the reveal. And those cards are the cat’s meow!
omg. The “sneak peak” is sooooo You! I love it… Congratulations on your new adult “baby”.
I wish there were words to say that would remove the pain of losing your kitty, but I think only time helps us in these type times. We still miss our dog “Barnie” who was with us for 17 years, but my kitty, Callie, has sure helped the healing process…in fact, she’s rotten, but I don’t care…she is great company for me and brings me much joy and lots of laughs. Cats are so entertaining, aren’t they?
So sorry for your loss. I love the cards above and your sneak peek pic, too.
Awww… Mary, It is so hard to loose a close friend (I lost one of my kitties 7 days after we brought our infant son home and I so which he could have gotten to know that kitty especially since he loves our other family cat so much!) I can’t wait to meet your newest family member! In the meantime, our family vacation to Tuscon is shaping up nicely and I’m still hoping to stop by for a visit especially as I enjoyed meeting you as well as chatting with you at Leadership! Hugs and kisses to the newest family member.
I love your sneak peek pic and can’t wait to meet him/her!

p.s. darling cards!
Such adorable little cards. And Mary, I’m so sorry to hear about the loss of your cat…my pets are such a big part of my family so it hits close to home when someone’s pet passes. My apologies to you though, as I remember a while back seeing a post about your cat and I must have misread the post as I thought for some unknown reason it was a “remembering” post and that he had passed a long time ago. So I guess I misread something there. Hugs to you! Hope you are having a wonderful day 🙂
