card tutorial: charming plaid thank you card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Misty Moonlight Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
envelope flap:
- Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top):
- Pecan Pie Cardstock: 3 1/4 x 4 3/4
- Basic White Cardstock: 3 x 4 1/2
- Timeless Plaid DSP: 4 1/2 x 6 (before cropping)
- Basic White Cardstock (sentiment): 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 (before cropping)
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Stampin’ Up! Heart Shaped stamp set) in Misty Moonlight Classic Ink onto the Basic White sentiment layer.
3. crop:
- Crop the sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the smallest Perennial Postage die.
- Crop the Timeless Plaid DSP with with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the 1 3/8″ Perennial Postage die.
- TIP: Strategically place the Perennial Postage die over the same plaid designs to keep the squares cohesive.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Basic White and Pecan Pie layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere all remaining pieces as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Tie a bow of white Baker’s Twine Essentials and adhere tucked under the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot.
- Embellish with the lightest Night of Navy Matte Ombre Decorative Dots.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. TIP: Add Glue to the flap, not the Designer Series Paper.
