card tutorial: handmade beauty
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Petunia Pop Cardstock: 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
snipped envelope flap:
- Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper: 5 3/4 x 2 1/2
layers (from bottom to top):
- Basic White Cardstock: 4 x 4 1/2
- Blackberry Bliss Cardstock: 3 3/4 x 4
- Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper: 3 1/2 x 3 3/4
- Blackberry Bliss Cardstock (die-cut): 3 x 3
- Basic White Cardstock (sentiment): 2 x 2
- Petunia Pop Cardstock (die-cut): scraps
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Stampin’ Up! Heart Shaped stamp set) in Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink onto the Basic White cardstock layer.
3. crop:
- Crop the sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the 1 1/2 Hearts of Elegance die.
- Crop the heart and flower with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the coordinating Heart Shaped dies.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the Basic White, Designer Series Paper and die-cut heart with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
- Adhere the remaining pieces with Mini and Standard Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Add an Iridescent Faceted Gem to the flower center.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Flip to the inside of the flap and carefully snip away the excess with Paper Snips.
