A simple white tree created with the new Stampin’ Up! Tree Builder Punch sets the stage for today’s birthday card.
My color combination was inspired by this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge (PPA254). Feel free to substitute any of these colors for similar colors. I opted to use new In Color Watermelon Wonder in place of retired Strawberry Slush. Check out what the rest of the PPA Design Team created this week HERE!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- A tiny Watermelon Wonder bird (also cropped with the Tree Builder Punch) makes a statement against the white tree.
- The “happy birthday” sentiment is from Sprinkles of Life stamp set. The additional images in the set coordinate with the Tree Builder Punch and may be seen below in my supply list.
- Feel good! Stampin’ Up! will donate $3 to Ronald McDonald House for every Sprinkles of Life stamp set sold!
- I added a Watermelon Wonder stripe pattern (card) and solid (envelope liner). Both are from the 2015-2017 In Color Envelope Paper collection, one of My Favorite Things in the new catalog!
MY FAVORITE THINGS! In case you missed it, here’s a list of My Favorite Things from the Stampin’ Up! 2015-2016 Annual Catalog!

Oh, Katy, you know how to make a girl smile! Thanks!
A true “Mary” classic card… crisp, clean and ingenious!
This is so clean and fresh, Mary! Love the little bird popping off the white tree!
You are the clean and simple queen!!
That little “red” bird just “pops” right and makes such a statement. Makes me think of cardinals when it snows! 🙂
I didn’t need the 12 x 12 sheet of Envelope Paper to make an envelope (previous post) but the remaining piece is long and skinny . . . perfect for the background of the card and envelope liner!
Lydia Fieldler made an all white card with the tree . . . I loved the look so much I had to at least try the tree!
Fabulous, Mary, only you would create a white tree with the WW bird…..really wonderful idea!
Love the bold watermelon stripes behind your sweet white tree! The birdie just pops!
Love that paper, Linda!
I really like the crispness of white on white. Especcially effective with just the hint of colour of the bird. It’s something i’ll keep in mind the next time I make a card 😉
Thanks, Richard. I appreciate your comments!
Clean and fabulous card Mary, love the pop of red you added with that adorable little punched out bird. The panel of stripe Watermelon Wonder paper just ties the entire layout together beautifully.
Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much, Maria. The Tree Builder Punch has so many possibilities!
This is a ‘Hallmark’ card FOR SURE. LOVE the clean crisp look you have created. THANKS for sharing my friend.
Thanks, Kadie. I love the tree with traditional colors but the white really gives it a new look!
