card tutorial: a 5 minute Christmas card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Basic Beige Cardstock – 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2 (top)
layers:
- Basic Black Cardstock – 3 3/4 x 5, 2 1/2 x 4 1/2
- Basic Beige Cardstock – 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
- Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper – 2 1/4 x 4 1/4
- Basic Black Die-Cut Sentiment – 3 3/4 x 2 3/4
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the sentiment (Festive Words Stamp Set) in Versamark Ink (twice) onto the Basic Black layer.
- Cover the sentiment with gold Metallics WOW! Embossing Powder. Tap to remove the excess. Use the putty end of a Take Your Pick Tool to remove any stray pieces of embossing powder. Set with a Heat Tool.
3. crop:
- Crop the sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the largest Designer Tags die.
- Use a Paper Trimmer or Paper Snips to trim off the ribbon holes on the die-cut sentiment.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Adhere the four layers together as shown with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, wrap with gold trim (Gold & Silver 1/8″ Trim Combo Pack), securing with a bow on the left.
- Adhere the four layers and the sentiment as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish with 3 gold Neutrals Adhesive-Backed Sequins.
