A Hot Trend! Gold Metallic Christmas Cards

Gold Metallic is a hot trend for card making and the Stampin’ Up! Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) finds its magic with chic, golden accents.  I used it on today’s Christmas card and the envelope flap for a coordinated presentation.  The Season of Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Peaceful Season bundle (stamp set and dies used on the card, too) are part of the Season of Elegance Suite of products and one of My Favorite Things.

WHAT I LOVE!  Another hot trend (and a personal favorite) are bold, die cut words.  I can’t get enough of them!  I used the Peaceful Season “Christmas” dies to crop the background (Pretty Peacock) and more detailed (gold) sentiment.  They’re gorgeous when layered but don’t miss the little dot on the “i.”  Mine went MIA the first time I used it since I didn’t realize it was a separate piece.

3 tips when using gold metallic products:

  1. Gold Foil Sheets: Mix and match with Gold-Foiled Specialty Designer Series Papers. See a card idea here.

  3. Gold Textured Metallic Specialty Paper: Dry Emboss it for a big “Impression”! See it in action here.
