WHAT I LOVE! I dialed up the gold details with gold cord, gold pearls and the gold foil “love you” words (die cut with the Love for You Dies). TIP: Save your gold foil! Crop the gold “love you” words from one of the gold foil rectangles since the “negative” space where they are cut will be covered by the designer series paper. No one will ever know!
CUT YOUR CARD STOCK – DIMENSIONS:
- Basic White Thick Card Stock:
- Card Base – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 (top)
- Die-Cut Flagged Strip – 3 3/4 x 1 1/4 (before die-cutting)
- Die-Cut Heart – 2 1/4 x 2 1/2 (before die-cutting)
- Die-Cut Word Drop Shadow – 2 x 2 (before die-cutting)
- Gold Foil –
- Layers – 5 1/4 x 2 1/2 and 4 x 3
- Die-Cut Words – Cropped from center of layer above, adhered to an Adhesive Sheet
- Most Adored Specialty Designer Series Paper
- Layers – 5 x 2 1/4 (plaid), 3 3/4 x 2 3/4 (swirl)
- Envelope Flap – 5 3/4 x 2 1/4
PROJECT TUTORIAL:
Begin by burnishing the fold of the Basic White Thick card base with a Bone Folder.
Layer and adhere the Designer Series Papers to the coordinating Gold Foil layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Adhere the plaid layer to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the swirl layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) to crop the following:
- Basic White Thick Card Stock:
- 3 1/2 x 1 Stylish Shapes flagged die
- Heart – Hot Air Balloon Dies
- “You” Drop Shadow- Love for You Dies
- Gold Foil:
- “Love You” Words – Love for You Dies
Wrap the Basic White flagged banner die-cut with gold Simply Elegant Trim, securing with a bow. TIP: Use a Mini Glue Dot to keep the knot in place behind the heart.
Adhere to the card as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere the heart and “you” drop shadow die-cuts as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Remove the Adhesive Sheet backing from the Gold Foil “love” “you” die-cuts and adhere as shown.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with 2 gold Blooming Pearls as shown.
PERFECT POLISH! Adhere the 5 3/4 x 2 1/4 Designer Series Paper (DSP) to the Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. IMPORTANT: Add glue to the flap, not the DSP. Line up, tape to secure (Post-It Tape). Crop with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the Basic Borders curved edge die.
