Tuesday, I shared “Take 5 Stampin’ Pretty Color Combinations” which focused on Stampin’ Up! Daffodil Delight! Today I’m sharing a card using one of the 5 color combinations – Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, and Basic White. A combo with a preppy feel, don’t you think?
MISSED IT? You can see the additional Daffodil Delight color combinations on my blog post here and all of my previous color combinations on my blog page here.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Begin with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Basic White Thick card stock.
Adhere a 3 5/8 x 4 7/8 piece of Daffodil Delight card stock to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Zip the following pieces of card stock through a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the following dies:
- Basic White – 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 & 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 Scalloped Contours Dies
- Night of Navy – 3 x 4 3/8 Stitched Rectangle Die
- Daffodil Delight – Stitched Leaves Dies
Use a Stamparatus to position and stamp the sentiment in Night of Navy Ink onto the Basic White die-cut as shown.
Layer and adhere all pieces together as shown with Stampin’ Seal and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tie a bow of White Baker’s Twine Essentials.
Adhere with a Mini Glue Dot that has been reduced in size by rolling between your fingers.
POP OF PERSONALITY! Embellish with Matte Decorative Dots.
PERFECT POLISH! Crop a 5 3/4 x 2 1/2 piece of Night of Navy Neutrals 6×6 Designer Series paper with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard) and the curved Basic Borders Die. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere to the outside flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Trim the envelope flap to size with Paper Snips. You can see my video demonstration with tips on adding designer paper to an envelope flap here.
Well Mary I am glad you picked this combo of colors too. Once again, simple and clean are winners. Good job.
WOW my friend…..There is SO MUCH pretty about this card. LOVE the scallop edge frame in the center.
Pretty card Mary. Yellow and blue has always been my favorite color combo.
