Making a CASE! Sailing Home Anchor Card

Sailing Home Bundle by Stampin' Up! Anchor card by Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

Today’s “anchor” card uses the new Sailing Home Bundle from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  The layout is a CASE (copy and share everything) of a previous card I created using the Well Said Stamp Set and coordinating Well Written Dies.

Learn how to create this Petal Pink Well Said Card using the Well Written Framelits and Well Said Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! Mary Fish, Stampin' PrettyMAKING A CASE!  You can view details, a tutorial, and the supply list of the card I CASE’d on my previous blog post here

Color Combination daffodil delight, poppy parade, seaside spray

NEED COLOR COMBINATION INSPIRATION?  I share a weekly color combination with my Pals Stamping Community in hopes to inspire them.  I think this color combination of Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, and Seaside Spray had a nautical feel that I had to try.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Begin with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Whisper White card stock.

Adhere a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Seaside Spray 6×6 Designer Series Paper to the card with Snail Adhesive.

Sailing Home Bundle by Stampin' Up! Anchor card by Mary Fish, Stampin' PrettyAdhere a 4″ long piece of Poppy Parade 1/2″ Textured Weave Ribbon as shown with Mini Glue Dots.

Use a die-cutting machine and the 2 5/8 x 4 Stitched Rectangle Die to crop a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Use the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to add the beacon of light.

Tip: I used a scrap piece of card stock as a guide to keeping the beacon lines straight.  You can also use the beacon stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set.

Use a Stamparatus to stamp the two images in Smoky Slate Ink and the sentiment in Seaside Spray Ink (Sailing Home Stamp Set) onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  Crop with a die-cutting machine and the coordinating dies (Smooth Sailing).

Add a touch of color to the lighthouse with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Wrap 8 loops of Silver Metallic Thread around three fingers.  Gently remove and adhere to the back of the sentiment with Snail Adhesive.

POP OF PERSONALITY! Add three Silver Metallic Pearls as shown.

Use a Big Shot, Magnetic Platform, envelope liner die (Beautiful Layers Dies) and the Seaside Spray 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to create an envelope liner. Adhere to the inside of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Medium Envelope.
