STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Whisper White Thick card stock.
Adhere a striped piece of Gray Granite 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (ultimately cropped to 2 7/8″ tall) to a piece of Whisper White card stock. Zip through the Big Shot with the Magnetic Platform and 3 3/8 x 4 3/4 Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies. TIP: I run the Big Shot and these dies forward and backward for a really clean cut.
Wrap Real Red 3/8″ Cotton Ribbon around the Gray Granite area, securing with a bow as shown. Adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Crop a piece of Whisper White card stock with the Big Shot and 2 1/4 x 3 1/2 Rectangle Stitched Framelits Die. Use the Stamparatus to position and stamp the sentiment (Happy Tails) in Gray Granite Classic Ink. Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Use the Dog Builder Punch to crop a piece of polka dot 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper (dog) and Real Red card stock (heart).
Adhere the heart to the dog with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional and wrap White Solid Baker’s Twine around the dogs neck, securing with a bow.
Adhere the dog to the stitched rectangle below with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
TIP: I embossed a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Real Red card stock with the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It makes a pretty and protective layer over the top of my card for mailing. I still use non-machinable stamps (see stamp, here) but there’s less chance of damage with the added embossed layer.
Stamp the envelope using the Paw Print (Happy Tails) & Gray Granite Classic Ink, giving a hint to the recipient of what’s inside.
Making this card reminded me that I’m due to share an update on Freddie and Lucy with you. They are both doing amazingly well. Freddie has his moments of being a “terrible two.” However, we adore him and he is enjoying the cactus bloom on our daily walks. Lucy, who lives in the Phoenix area with my daughter, Caroline, continues to trust the world more and more each day (such a “wonder” dog). She and Freddie are best pals and get to hang out together when Caroline comes home (doggie sleepovers – yay)!. Learn more about their rescue journeys here.
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

Brilliant! The colors are wonderful and make this a perfect candidate for masculine use. I think that puppy is adorable. Lucy and Freddie look like they are truly sweet or are they just acting for the camera? Thanks for sharing another awesome and versatile card.
Lucy is the sweet one . . . Freddie is “acting” but we love him like crazy!
