Under the Mistletoe Christmas in July Card

Create a holiday card using Stampin Up Foliage Frame Thinlits Dies - Mary Fish StampinUp Ideas

I’m celebrating a little early with today’s Christmas in July card.  It showcases  the “foliage” created with the Stampin’ Up! Foliage Frame Framelits Dies (one of My Favorite Things) and Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper.  Don’t miss the darling, coordinating white deer on the envelope liner!

MY STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Create a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card base using Stampin’ Up! Thick Whisper White card stock and the Stampin’ Trimmer.

Using Snail Adhesive, adhere the following layers (top to bottom) to each other and then to the card base.  4 3/4 x 3 1/2 plaid pattern from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, 5 x 3 3/4 Old Olive card stock, 5 1/4 x 4 Shaded Spruce card stock.

Using the Stamparatus stamp positioning tool, stamp “merry & bright” (Another Wonderful Year stamp set) in Shaded Spruce ink on Whisper White card stock.  Crop using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Magnetic Platform (keeps the image in place) and the 1 7/8 stitched circle die (Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies).

Adhere sentiment using Snail Adhesive to a 2 3/8 circle of Old Olive card stock and 2 5/16 scalloped circle of Real Red card stock.  They both were cropped with the Big Shot and Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

Adhere the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the large die cut (circle in the middle) created with the Foliage Frames Framelits Dies and Big Shot in Thick Whisper White card stock.

I cut and embossed all the foliage and layers with the Foliage Frames Framelits Dies and the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine.  Card stock colors include Whisper White, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce.

Take the die cuts to AMAZING using the Stampin’ Up! Embossing Mats, Foliage Frames Framelits Dies and the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  By using the embossing mats, you create embossed details in the “ejection holes” of the die cuts.  Watch this Stampin’ Up! video and my WOW! video to learn more about how to use the embossing mats..

Adhere foliage as shown to the bottom of the sentiment circles and adhere all with Stampin’ Dimensionals to the card base.

Bling!  Add two self-adhesive Red Rhinestones to the sentiment circle.

Create an envelope liner using a pattern from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper, the Big Shot and the envelope liner die from Beautiful Layers Thinlits Dies.  Adhere with Snail Adhesive to the inside of a Whisper White Medium Envelope.
