Nothing says Valentine’s Day like “love” and chocolate. Tucked inside of this Valentine treat holder is a Ghirardelli Square. Yum!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
I used the Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Trimmer to cut the Crumb Cake card stock to 2 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and score the 5 1/4″ distance at 2 1/2″ and 2 3/4″.
I love these dies! The Whisper White square was cropped with the second largest square in the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
The hearts were created with the Heart Happiness Photopolymer stamp set and “love” was snipped from a sentiment in the Petal Palette Stamp Set. Both stamp sets are NEW in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog. The way I used them together was inspired by a sample on page 20.
Learn more about the Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration promotion here.
The striped heart was cropped using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, a coordinating heart die from Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies and the Big Shot Magnetic Platform (to keep the die in place).
The Sweet Sugarplum 3/8″ Striped Ribbon is such a pretty way to close the “package.” It’s adhered below the Whisper White Square with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is such a cute Valentine treat to share with my friends! Thanks so much!
Fabulous, Nancy. Enjoy making them!
So great for office friends, friends at church or my ladies at the nursing home! Another brilliant project! Thank you, Mary!
Bingo, Stephanie. More great suggestions!
Who doesn’t love chocolate!! and the Ghirardelli chocolates are some of the very best but getting this delicious morsels all wrapped up like this, makes them taste even better.
This are treats that will be remembered long after you ate the sweets.
Thank you for sharing Mary.
XO
Maria.
Maria your comments are so lovely. Thank you for sharing!
So cute and easy peasy for multiple grandchildren treats! Thanks for sharing Mary. Georgia
It’s my pleasure to share, Georgia!
I almost never use the term darling, but darn, these little treat holders are just darling! I love the use of the crumb cake cardstock, especially since I have a brand new package! That ribbon is just the right touch to finish the holder off. I wonder how it looks (color-wise) with the special edition strawberry cream Ghiradelli squares? Good luck to Morgan making around 80 of these – at least she has time to work on them! Thanks Mary!
Gah! Now you have me wanting to look for the strawberry cream flavor (and see how the color works), Chris R. I used what I had on hand!
I love all of your creations so much! Do you know approximately how much ribbon you used for this? I’m considering making these for Valentines for my office. I would just like to calculate how much ribbon I need to order to make around 80 of these! !!!
Thank you for sharing!
Thanks, Morgan. You’ll need approx. 16 to 18″ of ribbon. More if it makes it easier for you to tie in a bow. I snipped off about 1/2″ inch on each end after tying and have about 16″ left. I can still re-tie it 🙂
Such a simple, yet sweet and cute, treat holder. Love your style. TFS your creativity with us!
Thanks, Sue. I think we all need a dash of creativity in our lives. The beauty of paper crafting is that it’s quick and easy to learn!
So sweet and simple. I love your layering of these hearts – and that ribbon is amazing!
Planning to create a video and try another of those stripped ribbons, BK. Thanks.
The PERFECT combination…..Chocolate and a Sweet Sugarplum holder. Darling creation Mary!
Both are so sweet, Miss Kadie.
Bingo, Susan. Perfect little “somethin’!”
This is exactly what I need for my water aerobics friends and dinner club friends. Thank you.
