Making a CASE: Tropical Chic Narrow Note Card

Create a simple narrow note card using Stampin Up Tropical Chic - Mary Fish StampinUp

The Stampin’ Up! Tropical Chic Suite is the essence of coordinated paper crafting chic.  The pretty floral stamps and dies, pop of pink with yummy greens and versatile sentiments are WOW!  The Tropical Escape 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper is on the list of My Favorite Things from the Annual Catalog.

Today’s narrow note card is a CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) of a Stampin’ Up! sample from our demonstrator magazine.  I liked it so much I simply HAD to recreate it and share!

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Start with a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Narrow Note Card (2 1/2 x 4 1/2) & Envelope.

Emboss a 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of Whisper White Card Stock using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  TIP:  Emboss in both portrait and landscape directions for a “bumped up” linen look.  Watch my video here for a demonstration.  Adhere the embossed layer with Snail Adhesive to the Narrow Note Card.

Crop two tropical fronds using the Big Shot, Tropical Thinlits Dies and Tranquil Tide card stock.  Adhere to card base with Snail Adhesive.

Ink two flower images from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Petal Pink ink.  Use a Sponge Dauber to add Flirty Flamingo ink directly to the red rubber on the flower edges before stamping.  Stamp and crop flowers using the coordinating Tropical Thinlits die, the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform (to keep the die in place over the image).

Ink leaf image from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Granny Apple Green.  Use a Sponge Dauber to add Tranquil Tide ink directly to the red rubber on the leaf edges before stamping.  Stamp and crop leaf using the coordinating Tropical Thinlits die, the Big Shot and Magnetic Platform.

Stamp “greatest” sentiment from Tropical Chic stamp set in Tranquil Tide on a 2 1/8 x 3/4 piece of Pool Party card stock.

Assemble and adhere flowers, stamped leaf and sentiment.  I used Stampin’ Dimensionals below the stamped leaf and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals below the top flower.

The perfect touch is the addition of a trio of three Stampin’ Up! adhesive backed Basic Sequins.

Love this fresh and oh so beautiful card Mary, love the color on the flowers and leaves.
And, like Cindy, love the texture of the Subtle Dynamic Textured EF, it looks amazing no matter what card you create.
    Thank you for the inspiration.
