Liz’s Sympathy Card with Wax Paper Resist Technique

Love and Sympathy2-001

How did she do that?  Liz Hughes, today's guest and a member of my Stampin' Pretty Pals, created this beautiful sympathy card.  Of course, my eye went straight to that stunning background.  Liz used a technique called Wax Paper Resist along with a Stampin' Up! embossing folder.

GREAT NEWS!  Liz has created a video to share with you step by step how she created the background.  You can watch the video by visiting her DIY Paper Creations Blog!

  1. this is a beautiful new twist on the waxed paper resist…I have done it for years with the crinkled up waxed paper background but had never thought to use an embossing folder instead. WOW…talk about “magic” happening when you add the color, a very cool handmade version of the expensive pre=printed resist papers! I will be incorporating this into my stamping right away!

  2. BEAUITIFUL love that idea , great job , will try it soon !!
