4-Corner Fold Up Card by Ellen S.

IMG_1191-2
Receiving a handmade card can be just as much fun as creating them.  This charming 4-Corner Fold Up Card was created and sent to me by my stamping friend, Ellen Smallwood.  I love the myriad of ways she found to use the Bordering on Romance stamp set (Occasions Mini Catalog) on the card and envelope.

She got the original idea from fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator (and sweetie pie) Dawn Griffith.  Here's a link to Dawn's original video for the card.  The details on the envelope were produced by combining one of the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die and a coordinating stamp from Bordering on Romance stamp set.  Both products are in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog.

  1. thanks for hanging in there, gang, for Ellen’s instructions. i set it up originally as a word doc (which may have been part of the problem if that’s not “friendly” with your computer). based on your feedback that it wasn’t opening for everyone, it was updated to a pdf file and should work like a champ!

  2. The links worked for me also. I couldn’t believe though that it was the same card idea! Bigger is better! Very bright and springy! Thanks for the written info that we can print out! I love that blue! Thanks for sharing her card with us Mary.

  3. Love this! What a unique card to receive in the mail. Think I just might have to try it today, since I’m off work! Thanks for sharing it with us…you ROCK!

  4. Directions opened right away, but my brain can’t figure it out. Help! Maybe a diagram?
    Thanks,
    Love your site,
    Jo from Tx

  5. Update…my computer woke up and the directions just appeared, haha! I am all set to create 🙂 Thanks!

  6. A beautiful card to enjoy my morning coffee with! Ellen’s colors, technique and instructions are wonderful. the Rich Text format instructions downloaded and opened on my Mac nicely.

  7. What a fabulous gift! Love Ellen’s color combination and the special fold of her card is an added bonus! Thanks for sharing.

  8. What a lovely card! The colors and coloring are so fresh and this stamp set is a favorite of mine. Thanks for including the instructions…I look forward to trying this out! The file didn’t work for me either, but my computer hasn’t had it’s coffee yet, haha 🙂 Thanks for sharing this card with us, Mary.

  9. Mary, it worked for me. Thank you and thank Ellen for a darling card and envelope.
