I created two completely different looks using the same sketch. This week's Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO179) is based off a card I posted previously (see below). The Mojomaker goddess, Julee Tilman, transformed it into a sketch for you to try this week! Thanks, Julee.
Here's the original card I created in August, 2009, that Julee used to create this week's challenge. Details and product information HERE.
- To top off the Early Espresso flower centers, I used the Sweet Buttons Embosslits Die (Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog). Bonus: This die achieves a splashy look with less bulk to mail than real buttons.
- The large sunflower was created using the Stampin' Up! Fancy Flower Punch. Check out my video tutorial on how the Fancy Flower Punch can pop out a new shape with just a "twist."
- The Bigz Lattice Die in the background adds a really powerful element in a snap.

Wow! Another awesome, eye-catching color combination! I love it! Also, another fantastic idea for use of my Lattice die. And the wonderful video from you, Mary, showing us additional uses for our punches! Thank you!
MARY!! Thank god I quit the team when I did… 🙂
This sketch would of stumped me….totally amazing sketch girlfriend!!! And both of your cards rock!
Fabulous, I love it. Those colors are super, makes me think spring!!! Hugs,
I’m off today so I got to enjoy your blog this morning with my tea (my favorite thing to do!). Love the cards. It’s so cool that the original got turned into a mojomonday sketch. Love the new blog banner too!
I love both versions! The orange and blue card uses the colors of my college team, woohoo, so I can see scraplifting your card in my future crafting endeavors. Love the sunflower card also. Thanks for sharing!
Super cute sketch Mary… i cant wait to play!
What a joy it is to wake up every day and check out Mary’s blog! I am down with a cold, but today’s cards make me feel lots better! Thank you for the ideas and the antidote for “down in the dumps!”
What a happy card, Mary! You are very good at sketch layouts. ANd Julee can really transform an idea into a great computer generated graphic, can’t she?
Great cards! I feel spring just around the corner. Very informative video on the Fancy Flower Punch, I’m going to try it.
Mary, this card is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing!
Good morning, Mary: Love this card, the colors are so Spring like. This month, I’m getting the Lattice Bigz Die, for sure, among other goodies.
The Original card is beautiful too.
Thanks for sharing.
Maria.
