WHAT I LOVE! The “WISHING YOU A” sentiment (Greetings of the Season stamp set) invites you to take a peek at the coordinating sentiment (Peaceful Season stamp set) tucked inside. I anchored the interior sentiment with two elongated hexagons from Stampin’ Up! Nested Essentials Dies.

card tutorial: clean & simple holiday card
1. measure & cut
portrait card base:
- Thick Basic White cardstock – 4 ¼ x 11, scored at 5 ½ (top)
snipped envelope flap:
- Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper: – 5 ¾ x 2 ½
layers:
- Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper 3 x 4 ½
- Real Red 3 ¼ x 4 ¾
- Basic White die-cut sentiment (exterior) – 2 x 1 ½ before die-cutting
- Basic White sentiment (interior) – 4 x 1 ¾ before die cutting
- Real Red layer below sentiment(interior) – 4 ½ x 2 ¼ before die cutting
2. stamp:
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the exterior sentiment (Greetings of the Season Stamp Set) in Garden Green Classic Ink onto the Basic White layer.
- Use a Mini MISTI stamp tool to position and stamp the interior sentiment (Peaceful Seasons Stamp Set) in Garden Green Classic Ink onto the Basic White layer.
3. crop:
- Crop the exterior sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or Mini) and the rounded rectangle die from Nested Essentials Dies
- Crop the interior sentiment with a Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine (Standard or mini) and a hexagon die (approx. 3 ½ x 1 ¼) from Nested Essentials Dies.
- Crop Real Red card stock with a hexagon die (approx. 3 ⅞ x 1 ¾) from Nested Essentials Dies
- Trim DSP layer to six equal 1 ½” squares. Keep in original order.
- Trim Real Red layer to six equal 1 ⅝” squares.
4. assemble & adhere:
- Burnish the fold of the card base with a Bone Folder.
- Assemble and adhere squares (approx. 3/16” apart) with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown.
- Adhere sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
5. embellish:
- Embellish sentiment as shown with Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints.
- Tie Garden Green Natural Tones Linen Thread in a bow and tuck and adhere (Mini Glue Dot) below the sentiment.
6. envelope:
- Adhere the matching 5 ¾ x 2 ½ Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper to a Basic White Medium envelope flap with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Flip to the inside of the flap and carefully snip away the excess with Paper Snips.
