NEW In Color Ideas: Seaside Spray Color Spectrum

Stampin' Up! 2019-2021 In Color Combinations created by Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

Seaside Spray is front and center for today’s post! Starting last Saturday and through this Thursday, I’m sharing three fabulous color duos for EACH of the five 2019-2021 In Colors (Pretty Peacock, Purple Posy, Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, and Terracotta Tile).  There will be a tone on tone combination (and card sample) as well as a neutral and bold combination.   I want you to see the depth, richness, and possibilities of the 2019-2021 In Colors when paired with other colors!

Take a peek at the Pretty Peacock Palettes from Saturday’s post here.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Darling Label Punch Box Catalog ImageEasy Peasy. Key to keeping this design simple is using the Stampin’ Up! Darling Label Punch Box. It includes a gorgeous (and reusable) navy and gold tin plus the following products.  A perfect gift!

  • Darling Label 6-piece Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Clear Stamp Block
  • Grapefruit Grove and Night of Navy Classic Stampin’ Spots
  • Darling Label Punch
  • 8x8x3 Tin

My layout for each card was inspired by page 94 of the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2021 Annual Catalog (starts June 4).  I changed the colors and added a little bling of personality.

Stampin' Up! 2019-2021 In Color Combinations created by Mary Fish, Stampin' Pretty

To create the card, start with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base of Whisper White Thick card stock.

Layer and adhere a 3 1/2 x 5 piece of Seaside Spray In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Night of Navy card stock with Snail Adhesive.

Adhere a 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 strip of Night of Navy card stock as shown with Snail Adhesive.  Double wrap a piece of Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine around all pieces, securing with a bow on the left-hand side.  Adhere to the card base with Snail Adhesive.

Stampin' Up! In Color Designer Series Paper 6 x 6

Use a die-cutting machine to crop a piece of Seaside Spray card stock with the 2nd largest Stitched Shape Circle Die.  Adhere as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use the Stamparatus to stamp the “Happy Birthday” sentiment (Darling Label Stamp Set) in Night of Navy Classic Ink onto a piece of Whisper White card stock (twice). Crop both pieces of Whisper White card stock with the coordinating Darling Label Punch. Snip the “birthday” with Paper Snips and adhere with small bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Darling Label 6-Piece Photopolymer Stamp Set by Stampin' Up! Available in the Darling Label Punch Box

A POP OF PERSONALITY! Add two of the smallest Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sides of the snipped birthday sentiment.

Use a die-cutting machine, envelope liner die (Beautiful Layers Dies) and a piece of the Seaside Spray In Color 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to create an envelope liner.  Adhere to the inside of a Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Medium Envelope with Snail Adhesive.

TIP: To avoid embossing and plate marks, I dedicate a relatively clean bottom cutting plate for envelope liners.  Flip the pattern over and cut on the opposite side.  You can use a bone folder to help soften lines, too.

  1. Mary, your color combo’s are so exciting! You are such a giving person, I appreciate all the ideas that you share with us. TFS.

  2. Love the card idea, can be used for so many different occasions not just birthday. By changing the colors you can make it more gender friendly, love your color combo choices you included too. I was looking at the measurements of the DSP & the strip that goes behind the circle. They can’t both be 3 1/2 inches. One or both of those measurements are wrong,

    • Great catch, Julee. Thank you. The strip should be 3 1/8″ wide, not 3 1/2. I missed it when proofreading. I’ll update any posts and PDF where needed.

  3. Oh yeah, some more beautiful combination with that sea side spray, I reall love that blue , our outside patio was that blue , the color of my hobby eyes , lol,
And love your card , ?
    Hugs Frenchie ♥️

  4. Seaside Spray is (in my opinion) the PERFECT blue. Love it matched up with Night of Navy.

  5. Love these! Basic Black looks good with every color, but it really brings out the Seaside and the Spray in this soft blue. Love it!

  6. Beautiful and elegant, these colors go perfectly together on this awesome masculine card, love it!!!
    Thank you for sharing Mary.
    XO
    Maria.
