New WOW! Video! Create a Linen Look with the Subtle Embossing Folder

I shared a simple and pretty card on yesterday’s post here, that used many of the new products in the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  One of those new products was the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  In today’s WOW! Video Tutorial, I share tips on how I used the folder to create a linen or fabric look on the card stock!

  1. Thank you so much for sharing this bonus use of the Subtle TIEF! Love it! Great work as always!

  2. Hi Mary, I was wondering what the intricut big circle die looks like? I didn’t see how it went with the stamps.
    Thank you

    • Hi Judy: The big die functions more as a layer and element. It doesn’t coordinate with a stamp image. When cut, it looks much like you see 🙂

  3. Gorgeous and I can really see the look the EF gives. Thanks again for another great video and a gorgeous card. Oh the tips I learn from you!

  4. Mary, So many beautiful elements to this card. The paper is gorgeous! What did you use to cut the rectangle box out of the center, and did you cut before or after embossing?

    • I used the rectangle from the Sliding Door (barn door) Dies. I cut the rectangle first.

    • I love sharing ways to make our products do a little more with minimal work! Thanks, Stella.

  5. Now I’m in love with the Subtle EF. I love the subtle linen look of the frame on your card. Great picture showing the embossing. Wonderful video explaining all about it. Have a wonderful day, Mary.

    • I love it, too, HJ (along with the Ruffled Embossing Folder). So versatile and the perfect “something” for adding texture.
