One of the most compelling and exciting things for me about the Stampin’ Up! 2018-2019 Annual Catalog (starts June 1) is the designer series paper. I need ALL of it. Every pretty patterned paper inch. Frankly, the images in the catalog can’t do the paper justice. After seeing them “live” on display in Las Vegas last month, I knew that every designer series paper offered had a guaranteed future in my craft studio!
Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper is nothing short of sumptuous. The floral patterns look hand painted and the 6 x 6 size is perfect for a card maker like me. The beautiful designs cover vintage to modern. Here’s a wish list for this “must-have” paper.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Using a Stampin’ Trimmer, create a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base using Shaded Spruce card stock. Shaded Spruce is a new, crisp green color with a hint of blue. It is a part of the Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp. Learn more about the Color Revamp here and see a new color comparison here.
Cut a 4 x 5 1/4 pattern from Garden Impressions 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper. Center the rectangle die from Sliding Door Framelits Dies on the pattern and cut using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine and Magnetic Platform (to help keep the die in place).
Adhere. the 4 x 5 1/4 pattern to the card base using snail. Adhere the cut rectangle to a 3 9/16 x 2 1/2 piece of Shaded Spruce Card Stock. Adhere over the “opening” on the pattern (card base) using Stampin’ Dimensionals. TIP: Be sure you have the top and bottom patterns lined up for the full effect.
Stamp “thank you” from Abstract Impressions Photopolymer Stamp Set on a 2 3/4 x 1 piece of Whisper White card stock. Add the cross stitch perforation using the Stitched Labels Framelits Dies, Big Shot and Magnetic Platform.
For a final pop of personality, adhere a 2 3/4 x 1/4 strip of Pacific Point card stock to the sentiment as shown.
Wrap a coordinating piece of Metallic Ribbon in Shaded Spruce (comes as a combo with Petal Pink) around the sentiment piece. Tie in a bow and adhere to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
