Mary, I absolutely love the giraffe baby card. This will be perfect to welcome my 2nd Great-Grandson. I’ll just have to change out the colors. Thanks so much for this cute idea.
That’s fantastic to hear, Patti. Congrats on your 2nd great grandson!
This is such a pretty card, and I love the label die!!!
The giraffe is darling,
I am understanding the directions that you are using two die sets for the oval? One to cut out an oval and the other to make the stitch?
I don’t have the oval framelits only the stitched dies. I can’t visualize this. Is the oval framelit smaller or larger than the stitched die?
Thanks, Lora. You can do the same with the Oval Framelits Dies (but won’t get the stitching). Essentially you crop the large layer with an oval die. Then crop a separate piece of Whisper White card stock with the same oval die. On this same piece, center a larger oval (usually the next size up) over the open oval (negative space). You’ll get a frame that you adhere to the large layer. Better?
Thank you so very much for a great explanation.
That’s what I love to hear, Lora!
Love both of these cards Mary, each so different but equally beautiful.
Thank you for these tutorials, they are so good to have around to be able to recreate the cards you share with us.
XO
Maria.
Always a delight to read your comments, Maria.
these samples are lovely & I’m so happy S.U is having a color revamp.
Some of the colors have been around for so long & I’m glad they’re gone.
The only “color” I’ll miss is the retiring Basic Black Archival Ink. Otherwise, everything new has me in heaven!
Hi Mary, Thanks a bunch . . . I just love the giraffe card. Can’t wait to make it.
🙂
I hope you find time this weekend, Nancy!
Perfect timing. I need a baby card and this will be perfect because I think I can make the pig work since the theme is farm animals.
The pig would be a delight! Love that you were inspired, Phyllis!
I love, love the animal outing card, very elegant! Thank you.
Thanks, Marilyn. I love your positive feedback!
LOVE your Free PDF Friday post. You are the BEST!!!
Mary, your generous heart and designer soul is so very much appreciated. You are SUCH A GOOD TEACHER! These PDF Fridays are creating a book for me that makes my limited time in the studio an absolute pleasure and guaranteed success. Thank you from the bottom of my heart (or butt, which is bigger).
