It’s a Beautiful Day with Blueberry Bushel

Love What You Do Stamp Set - Mary Fish Stampin Up Card Ideas

I love the look of this simple, monochromatic card in Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel, one of the 2018-2020 Stampin’ Up! In Colors (available June 1).  See the five new In Color options and the key details for the Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp here.

My Stampin’ Pretty blog readers selected Blueberry Bushel as the favorite of the five new In Colors in last week’s poll.  Lovely Lipstick was a close second.

These are the final results.  The poll is now closed.

I used the Love What You Do Photopolymer Stamp Set (available June 1) for the pretty flower and sentiment.  Isn’t the font divine!  Customers will get the opportunity to pre-order the 2018-2020 In Color Ink Pads and Love What You Do product bundles May 1 – 31.  Learn about the Share What You Love bundle promotion (including FREE product offer) here.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:

Create a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base using Thick Whisper White card stock and the Stampin’ Trimmer.  The trimmer cuts and scores!

Love What You Do Stamp Set - Mary Fish Stampin Up Simple Card Idea
Adhere a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock to the card base with Snail Adhesive.

Stamp flower trio and sentiment (Love What You Do Photopolymer Stamp Set) in Blueberry Bushel ink on Whisper White card stock.  I used a Stamparatus (available June 1) for perfect placement

There are two texture stamps that layer color on the flower blooms.  I stamped the larger of the two texture stamps off once on a piece of scrap paper before stamping in Blueberry Bushel.  This lightens the color.  I stamped the smaller of the two texture images in Blueberry Bushel in the center, without stamping off for more intensity.

Self-adhesive Pearl Basic Jewels add a pop of random personality.  Adhere stamped layer to card base with Snail Adhesive.

  1. As always, you give us all such great ideas using the new products. Love all the new colors! Will we be receiving the new catalog before June 1st? Looking forward to more ideas and products. THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE HELP YOU ARE TO WE WHO ARE NOT AS ARTISTIC AS YOU.

    • Hi Bonnie: Thanks for your sweetness. Customers who have ordered through me (and not changed demonstrators) between 4/30/17 and 4/30/18 will automatically receive the annual catalog from me. They should arrive by 6/1 (hopefully, much sooner). Those who place an order with me after 4/30, will receive an option to receive a FREE catalog from me.

  2. Mary, I had to laugh about your comment about living in Arizona and not being quite sure about the octopus in the one set! I live in Wheaton, IL so no sea life here and I grew up in Kansas so it has never been a part of my life!!! Thanks for sharing! I wasn’t sure how you got the new In Color markers? Center stage maybe?

Anyway, thanks again for your willingness to share with all of us that you don’t “get something” from. You are an amazing card artist!!

    • LOL! Connie . . . I shouldn’t get caught up in where I live when I purchase stamps. However, I mail most of my cards and just feel “funny” when I send sea shells (or an Octopus) from AZ!

  3. Beautiful card, Mary. I love the new Blueberry Bushel and think it will take the place of Dapper Denim. Thanks for the sneak peek video with lots of exciting new products. I can’t wait to see the new catty. Have a wonderful day!

  4. Perfectly executed, Mary! These sweet flowers are so beautiful in this rich blue. We are going to be reaching for Blueberry Bushel A LOT over the next two years. <3

  5. Wow, beautiful card, loving the new colors especially the blueberry and lipstick.

    • I love when a few stamps can do most of the “work” on a simple card. The font is so fabulous and the flower design so fun to layer!
