Today’s masculine card gets it’s dapper details from the Stampin’ Up! True Gentleman Suite and Truly Tailored stamp set.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY STEP-BY-STEP TUTORIAL:
Create a standard 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base using Crumb Cake Card Stock. Adhere a 3″ x 5″ houndstooth pattern from True Gentleman Designer Series Paper to card base.
Stamp sentiment from Truly Tailored stamp set in Dapper Denim ink on Very Vanilla card stock. Crop with circle from Layering Circles Dies and layer over a Chocolate Chip circle created with Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
Re-stamp sentiment on Crumb Cake card stock (Dapper Denim ink). Crop “dapper” using the Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Magnetic Platform (to keep the die in place) and die from Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies. Adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals as shown. The sentiment layout was inspired by a card in my Stampin’ Success demonstrator magazine!.
Using a Chocolate Chip Ink Pad or Stampin’ Write Marker, ink the mustache portion of the sentiment. Stamp on Very Vanilla card stock and snip with Paper Snips. Cut a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional in half and use to adhere the mustache.
Thread two True Gentleman buttons (one of My Favorite Things in the Occasions Catalog) with Linen Thread. Tie one in a bow and the other in a knot. Adhere with Glue Dots.
Adhere sentiment circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals to 3″ square of Dapper Denim card stock. Adhere to card base as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Adhere bow tie pattern from True Gentleman Designer Series Paper to the flap of a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. Remove excess with Paper Snips.

What a handsome card. I am so in love with this suite. I think it’s perfect for the men in my life.
Agreed, Robbye. Especially fabulous for Father’s Day!
I’m crazy about all the elements to this card Mary. I especially LOVE the buttons.
I love the buttons, too, Kadie!
Great design, Mary! I do love the designer series paper that complements that stamp set. It’s very versatile. I love the attention the “guy” cards are getting now.
I have enjoyed creating “guy” cards since I started stamping. They are such a natural fit to a clean style! Thanks, Karren.
Thanks, BK. I’m still a fan of buttons and loved having a reason to use them on this card!
I love your mix of patterns and colors, Mary! This is a super-cute, but still super-sophisticated, card. Love it!
