Wow! The Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set can make anyone a watercoloring artist! The soft, buildable images create scenes from north woods to beach front. It’s available Jan. 3, when the Occasions Catalog begins.
The Waterfront stamp set was inspired by Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator and Million Dollar Sales Achiever Connie Heisey.
I love hearing from you! Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- The inspiration for the layout of my Waterfront friend card is a sample in the Occasions Catalog. It’s a CASE (Copy And Share with Everyone) with a few tweaks!
- Inking extravaganza! One of the benefits of the Waterfront stamp set is the ability to play with color to create depth and texture. I used Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Dapper Denim, Soft Sky and Sahara Sand.
- I found “stamping off” on a piece of scratch paper before stamping the sun (Crushed Curry), lake (Dapper Denim and Soft Sky) and texture (Dapper Denim) helped to keep the look balanced.
- A touch of Linen Thread ties it all together!

Love your card, I sadly have a stamp that does no make the full impression. (large water stamp), there seems to be a hole in the center and no matter what technique I use it always ends up being a poor impression. Think I got a defect.
Thank you, Dawn. Happy to have you CASE. It’s based on a similar card I copied myself :). The card base is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. I no longer have the card so suggest you do the stamping and then create the bottom two layers (Olive and Denim) at equal distances. It’s not a rectangle in direct proportion to the card base (more room at top and bottom than side to side).
This is so beautiful! I would love to case it for my volunteer senior center card. May I? What are the card layer dimensions?
Beautiful card Mary!
A delight to read your comment, Beth!
I love this card and so happy you showcased that stamp set I’ve been eyeing it – soon I will be buying it!!!
Jan. 3 is the magic first day for customers to purchase the stamp set, Jenny. Thanks so much for your support!
I love this stamp great job I love the card is beautiful.
Thanks, Maria. The concept is from the new Occasions Catalog (a Stampin’ Up! sample) but I loved adding a few of my own touches!
I would not have thought about using this Waterfront set until I saw your beautiful design and read your stamping tips. Thanks so much.
The key for me, Nancy, is keeping it simple. I’m typically not good with building scenes but this one is easy.
Beautiful card Mary.
And beautiful words, Robbye! Thanks for being such a wonderful support!
Love this set – what a beautiful card!
Oh, Kathy . . . I agree. Pretty images and such beautiful scenes when blended together!

Oh, Mary! This is a perfect showcase of this sweet stamp set. Your blue and green layers frame it perfectly! <3
Thanks for stopping by, BK. I thought it was a fun color mix (inspired by the Stampin’ Up! sample)!
BEAUTIFUL card Mary…….
Thanks, Kadie. I’m hoping you get it and I can see your creative ideas!
Beautiful, Mary! This is my favorite set in the new catalog. I love the look and that I can pull out several different color ink pads and stamp away. Lately I stamp in black so much, it’s fun to use the other colors ?
Agreed, Amy. I don’t know if I have ever used so many stamp colors on one card – but nature is multi-colored, yes?
This set is definitely on my list and you did it proud. Gorgeous card.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thank you, Doris. Glad it’s on your wish list because there is plenty of creative mileage in using it!
