The Beauty of Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies

How to create a simple Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! Snowflake Sentiments & Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits - Mary Fish StampinUp

It’s all in the details of the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies. They match up beautifully with the images and sentiments (love that font) of the Snowflake Sentiments Stamp Set.

I love hearing from you!  Please leave me your questions or comments about the project for today.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • For the best results, I suggest using the Precision Base Plate with the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits Dies.   Try two or three passes through the Big Shot (instead of one trip through) to see if you get crisper, die cut results.

  • The Big Shot Die Brush is a HUGE timesaver in removing little pieces from the thinlits dies and die cut shapes.
  • A 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ Crumb Cake card base produces a “casual” background for the Dapper Denim card stock and pattern.

  • A heart wood element (Hearts & Stars Elements) and Dapper Denim Baker’s Twine are the perfect polish.  I love how the heart tucks into the open space above the bow of the baker’s twine.

    • Hi Gwen . . . I used a single piece of Dapper Denim card stock and cropped both sides. It was close to 4″ wide by 5 1/4″. Since I added the piece through the middle, you don’t need to do a solid piece since it covers the seam . . . just make each piece of the snowflake deep enough to reach the middle piece. Make sense?

  1. This card is so beautiful. I must say that you have such a way with neutrals, you make them sing.
