A Christmas Magic Card That Rings a Bell!

stampin-up-christmas-magic-holiday-card-idea-mary-fish-stampinupThe Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog (view it here) is filled with beautiful stamps sets including Christmas Magic and Tin of Tags.  Today’s vintage holiday card brings these stamp sets together for a classy presentation.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • Square it up!  The Cherry Cobbler card base measures 5″ x 5″ and is a nice diversion from the standard A2 card (4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″).
  • A pattern from Moroccan Designer Series Paper provides a handsome background.  This paper collection is included in the BUY 3 GET 1 FREE Designer Series Paper Sale.  Full details and selections here.  ENDS OCT. 31.

  • Layering Squares Framelits Dies (a paper crafting essential for perfect layers) & the Big Shot produce a quick scalloped layer and frame the sentiment.
  • Emboss it!  The Tin of Tags sentiment and the bells from the Christmas Magic stamp set are heat embossed in gold for rich detail.
  • A spray of pine branches created with the Pretty Pines Thinlits Dies showcase the bells beautifully.

    • Sorry, Craig. The products that were used for this card are no longer available for purchase.

  1. Beautiful card, Mary. I love the Cherry Cobbler with the gold embossing and the DSP. So pretty.

  2. Mary is back with her gorgeous creativeness! Love everything detail you did on this card.

  3. I think this Tin of Tags stamp set is one of my ‘GO TO’ set this holiday season. LOVE all the gold embossing you did on this card. TERRIFIC!!!

  4. Thanks so much, Maria. Appreciate the tip about wax paper for the intricate dies. The dies have been a hot seller for the holidays!

  5. Mary, this card is gorgeous!!! love the colors you used, the pattern paper really makes the bells and pine sprigs pop. The “Pretty Pines” thinlits are absolutely beautiful and just perfect to add lovely accents to your Christmas cards, I’ve been having so much fun with them and, just so you know, THEY CUT PERFECTLY!! They are so intricate, specially the pine sprigs but, using a bit of wax paper make the cut outs release from the die with no trouble at all.
This die set is a fabulous investment for your Holiday/Winter cards, whether you make a Christmas or a Birthday cards, they are the most perfect accent for them, I think this dies will be used by all of us for many years to come.
    Thank you for sharing.
    XO
    Maria.
