Yesterday, I shared a Stampin’ Up! video demonstration (here) for Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack and today I created a card using two patterns of the paper as well as the coordinating Scenic Sayings stamp set.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- I started out with this card being entirely monochromatic in Delightful Dijon and Whisper White. However, it felt too “flat” to me. I popped in a Bermuda Bay sentiment (Scenic Sayings), Bermuda Bay Thick Baker’s Twine and a trio of Bermuda Bay dots (Brights Enamel Shapes – see My Favorite Things) and love the contrast.
- The “friend” sentiment was easy to crop with my Paper Snips. I like to leave a little white edge and gave it a lift with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two patterns from Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack provide a fresh and modern background. I adhered them to a piece of Whisper White card stock to make it easier to tie the Baker’s Twine around the layer.

I love your comments. Thank you. Arlene . . . I’m happy to be your “enabler!”
This is my first time to comment on your blog, but I just have to say this is a CUTE card. I didn’t care for the Serene Scenery paper or Delightful Dijon, but this card really changed my mind. I love your cards because of the clean and simple style (this from a former “the more layers the better” crafter!). TFS

Hey there friend…..this is one retro/friendly card. Nice work!
I sure appreciate your sweet comments. I started out with a little enamel heart nested between the baker’s twine on the right. However, it still seemed a little empty. When I popped in the three round dots, it was perfect!
Great card, Mary. I also like the pop the Bermuda Bay gives it. It is a very cheery and fun card and could be used for man or woman. Have a great Saturday!
What a cheerful and sweet card Mary, I love this color combination, so fresh and fun. Love the enamel dots, perfectly matched with the thick Baker’s Twine.
Awesome card to mass produce, thank you for sharing.
Maria.
