I have a Mojo Monday Tall & Skinny Sketch Challenge (MOJO421) for you today and used the Stampin’ Up! Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies. These dies are exquisite for holiday cards and are on the list of My Favorite Things from the holiday catalog!
STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- For improved cropping of detailed dies like the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies, I use the Precision Base Plate. Wax paper between the die and cardstock helps the bits slip out even easier (usually a with shake or little nudge with my Paper Piercing Tool).
- If you would like to know more about the Precision Base Plate, I recommend you watch these helpful Stampin’ Up! videos:
- The basics of using the Precision Base Plate
- Additional tips & tricks.
- I used a few bits of Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the layers of the ornament a 3-D effect. Here’s a photo (below) of the layered ornament before the sentiment so you can really appreciate the details!
- The sentiment (Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set) was heat embossed in gold, a pretty complement to the Gold Cording Trim and gold foil topper for the ornament.
- You can purchase the Delicate Ornament Thinlits Dies and Embellished Ornaments Stamp Set together as a bundle and save 15%. See all Stampin’ Up! 15% off bundles.
- The Banner Triple Punch made quick work of the flagged end. It’s always ready to go for punched 1″, 1.5″ and 2″ strips.
- I used the Envelope Punch Board to create a custom envelope for the 6 x 3 .5″ card.
- The holly paper for the envelope and stripe on the card are from Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (above). See all Stampin’ Up! holiday catalog designer series paper here.

Hi. I was looking to buy the stamp and thinlit bundle but don’t see it on your website. Is it still available? Thanks.
Such a great card and I love the Very Vanilla ornament. I’ve noticed MOJO uses “Tall & Skinny” once in awhile. May I ask what size you are using for your card?
P.S. – Love your cards all the time. Clean and simple … my type of card.
Thanks so much, Jason! Here’s the card size: 6 x 3 .5″.
What a lovely crisp card in both design and colour.
Thanks, Carol. Your comment means a lot!
So delicious looking! Stunning! Reminds me of white chocolate–and now I’m hungry. So not only have you tempted me to buy this set, now I want candy, too! You saucy mink, you!
Saucy mink? At 57, I’ll take it! Thanks!

Beautiful Christmas card.
The focus on the ornament is super.
Thanks, Deborah. I love that I can make so many sizes of envelopes with the Envelope Punch Board. Really opens up the possibilities for card sizes!
What a gorgeous card and envelope.
I haven’t really liked the ornament set until I saw your very vanilla ornament. It is lovely!
I’m always here to do a little enabling, Debbie!
Thanks so much for your kind feedback!
This vanilla-on-vanilla ornament is just stunning!
Mary, this is a beautiful card. I love all the elements. I think this is the first card I’ve seen using a Very Vanilla ornament backed by the same color. With the red candy striped banner, it really makes a statement with the gold thread and ornament top. TFS
Wow, this is stunning, Mary!
Love this card, great job!
Thanks for your kind feedback. I like the layerred look of the vanilla ornament, too.
So beautiful Mary!
The Very Vanilla ornament is SHOW STOPPING GORGEOUS!
