My inspiration for this design is this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge (MOJO381).

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:

  • The flower was cropped using the Stampin’ Up! Boho Blossoms Punch.  I used Paper Snips to snip closer to the center for more fluttery petals.

  • A Candy Dot in Basic Black (Neutrals Candy Dots) accents the flower center.
  • The black and white paper patterns (card and envelope) are both from Stacked with Love Designer Series Paper Stack, one of My Favorite Things from the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog.

  • My new Wild Wasabi Blendabilities Marker (medium shade) adds a touch of color to the flower stem.

  • Avoid peek-a-boo “panty lines!”  I kept the length of the envelope liner short (approx. 2 3/4″) so that very little of the dark pattern would show through the inside of the Whisper White Medium Envelope.  Saves on paper, too!
  • Hover and Pin it! Here’s a photo showing key products for today’s card that you can save or pin to Pinterest. See ALL my product photos in one spot on my How to Make Simple Cards board on Pinterest.

  1. Thanks,Mary! I like the idea of saving paper!(not that I have a shortage in my house or anything!)

  2. Good question, Janet. In this case (short), I would add some adhesive on the lower part so that it doesn’t sneak out 🙂

  3. Mary, love your cute card! I have question about the envelop liner. Do you need to put adhesive along the bottom portion when you cut it short? I know you recommend not using adhesive on the bottom if you are using the entire die cut, but I wasn’t sure if you cut it short if it was needed to keep it in place?

  4. I know it’s been suggested (refills for the Blendabilities) and that Stampin’ Up! is considering it. Nothing firm, however.

  5. Thanks, Carol. I sure appreciate all the comments today and am excited you liked this little worm!

  11. Celia . . . I would have loved a “book worm” sentiment, just for bookmarks and behind!

  12. Anyone notice that the chevron pattern mimics the worm? Those are the kind of things that make me smile!
