What a kick off yesterday of the new Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog! Based on my customer sales for the first day, many of you agree that this is the snazziest, trend-setting Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog ever! I’m already formulating My Favorite Things of the Holiday Catalog and will be sharing soon!
Today’s card was inspired by this week’s Pals Paper Arts Sketch Challenge (PPA217). Check out what the rest of the PPA Resident Artists created with this sketch HERE.

STAMPIN’ PRETTY TIPS:
- If you have been eyeing the Stampin’ Up! Mustache Framelits Die and haven’t purchased it yet, I’m going to enable you today. The Santa Stache stamp set (Holiday Catalog) offers both a nutcracker and santa image with 3 sentiments. Combined with a quick crop of the Mustache Framelit Die, these guys are two irresistible “dudes.”

- I used Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities to give him rich, artful color. Watch my 7 Rules for Blendabilities Markers for an easy video demonstration.
- Vavoom! Silver 1/8″ Mini Brads add distinction to my nutcracker’s hat and collar.
- The Garden Green patterns are from Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack (Holiday Catalog).

- To create a custom envelope for this 5 x 5 card, I used the Stampin’ Up! Envelope Punch Board. Here’s a Stampin’ Up! Video on how easy it is to use!
- I like the strength of Fast Fuse Adhesive for assembling envelopes.
- The perfect polish! Create a quick and easy envelope liner using the Envelope Punch Board and my 1 Minute to WOW! Tutorial for instructions!

This is amazing, Mary!! Love how you decked him out!
Fabulous idea to do holiday tags, Carrie!
Super cute Mary. Every time I see him I think… why don’t I have this yet? Hmmm.
Just saw this and got a great chuckle. Love everything – the colors, the whimsy and of course, the stache! I bought this set in my last order and now you have inspired me to play with it. I see darling Christmas tags for the guys in my life coming right up. Thanks for being such an inspiration.
Nutty or Nice – I say Nice! Love the vivid colors Mary. Thanks for playing with the PPA this week!
Hi Michelle: I hope, at some point, to give Santa his turn, too! Thanks. M
I ADORE this nutcracker guy, Mary – your colors and embellishments are SO INSPIRING!!! Can you please consider doing something fantastic with the Santa in this set. I bought the set, but I haven’t been inspired by him yet. Thank you, Mary – you are my favorite.
Just adorable Mary!! Absolutely love this little guy!!!
thanks for your “nutty” comment, barb!
I used our Whisper White Cardstock. It’s a tiny bit heavy compared to a regular envelope but is definitely strong enough for post office handling.
Wow! This card is just “nuts” with style! Your aesthetic flows through this design, Mary. So cool!
Love him! And his ‘stache is so cute! So when you made the envelope, did you just use white cardstock? And would you drop it the mail or prefer to hand deliver? I’m worried my homemade envelope may not be strong enough for the post office handling? Your thoughts?
Thanks!

Absolutely gorgeous, Mary! What a fun stamp and fun interpretation of this sketch!
